International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V12

Even if they keep the current territory (which I doubt) they completely lost their ability to project non-nuclear force and have most of their armed forces stuck in a quagmire.
Agreed. Hence Russia is not a threat to Europe. Not militarily anyway.

Look at that map. Russia is a massive country, but somehow it's still not enough.

Easier to push West towards war and conflict than to push East into open territory already completely owned by Russia.

Fucking hell, the East of Russia is a dream come true, and part of every Western fantasy to build and create.

Putin's a fucking retard.

Yes Ukraine has lost some number of tanks and other equipment however what Russia has repeatedly done is release pictures of the same tanks or vehicles from different angles while claiming those were all separate tanks as they did from the first weeks of this 2023 offensive. It's incredibly disingenuous to post such information and pretend that it's even remotely accurate. This is beyond being naive. These are the type of things that you say that makes everyone question your motives.
. As Losses Pile Up, Ukraine Needs More Tanks And Fighting Vehicles (forbes.com)
"Nine days into its 2023 counteroffensive, the Ukrainian army has lost at least four of the 85 Leopard 2 tanks its foreign allies have pledged to the war effort. And it’s apparent the Ukrainians expect to lose many more."

You didn't really put in perspective anything, I showed you arguments on why has Rus failed on every single one of it's strategic tasks and you listed a number of wars lost or drew by the US.
You said Russia had lost this war. I told you this conflict was not over yet. What is there to put into perspective?
Btw your examples confirm my stance of Rus unable to defeat Ukr army even more, because Ukr right now is stronger than Iraq, Vietnam or Afghanistan armies back then.
The Ukrainian Army has not, is not, and will not be anywhere near what the North Vietnamese Army was during the 60s and 70s.
Plus Ukr is more unified than ever and way more unified than all those three countries.
Why do you think the Americans lost the war in Vietnam?
And if those defeated US (a larger force than Rus by far), why is it impossible for Ukr to defeat Rus in it's already weak ass occupational attempt.
Because the Ukrainian Army is growing weaker by the month. They are facing shortages of men and ammunition. The west is not giving Ukraine what it needs to win this conflict: Surface-to-surface missiles.

Right.... 4/85=4.7% Leopard 2 tanks lost....not bad at all...I have heard as high as 1/6 to 1/5 of Western donated tanks had been damaged/destroyed

There's also a difference between completely lost and merely damaged/disabled tanks/vehicles. Quite a few tanks or vehicles Russia claims are completely destroyed are merely damaged from hitting a mine and can be recovered and repaired.

"Ukraine in comparison has lost 550 of the 987 tanks it had at the start of the invasion and has managed to capture 545 Russian tanks, according to Oryx. Western allies have transferred 471 tanks to Kyiv, with an additional 286 expected to arrive soon.

This is a far cry from the bs that Russian sources claim...

That is just Russian propaganda. If you want to believe it. It has been doing this for years. Iran is doing the same thing - for years now. What about the Iranian nuclear threat?
You yourself have said many times in this thread series that we shouldn’t be aiding Ukraine because it risks a nuclear confrontation. Now it’s just propaganda?

Argue? Legitimate questions mate. Two simple questions really.
What threat is Russia posing to the West? This conflict has been contained in Ukraine.
What other countries is Russia planning to invade besides Ukraine?

2014 Russia trained a nuke strike on Stockholm.
A few years ago a radio mast was sabotaged in Sweden Russia is suspected to be behind it.
Russia regularly violate Swedish airspace.
Gotland is seen as a very likely target for Russia based on its would be a "lock" on the Baltic sea.

All this before Sweden even considered joining NATO.

The Russian threat has been, and still is very real for Sweden and many other countries,

Nuclear confrontation if the West gets involved in this conflict (as in troops on the ground). Stop putting words in my mouth. Plus, yes, I don't think the US should have given Ukraine half of what it got in financial and military aid. Again, I believe this is a European problem.

That looks like a nice collection of dildos. ;)
M278 (infra-red), very nice, I never seen it before. Also, black is a color I have not seen before in US ammunition.

. Ukraine has tested its allies' patience with its military strategy and demands (msn.com)
  • As the war with Russia has played out, it's been inevitable perhaps that there have been tensions and differences of opinion between Kyiv and its allies.
  • Ukraine has to tread a fine line with its international friends.
  • It's reliant on its partners for billions of dollars' worth of military hardware and assistance but insists it's fighting the West's war too.
  • Most recently, tensions have emerged over Ukraine's military strategy and demands on NATO.
Retired British General Richard Barrons: "Ukraine feels under pressure from his Western backers, to show progress in this counteroffensive, to prove to itself and the rest of us that this war can be won on the battlefield, but a sounder approach is to do things when the time and timing is right. The very worst outcome for Ukraine would be that they would take this uncommitted force and batter it to pieces on the front end of Russian fortifications they've not been able to break through. That would be a tragedy for the people taking part and a tragedy this year for the Ukrainian campaign."

spinmarino now really is working with public here like paid russian MoEf employee.;)

1. First line of this propaganda approach is to deliver message to public by pretending that countries are isolated planets.
This works well with unskilled and lazy public.
2. Next step is to convince public that sufferings are only because support to Ukraine.

In order to make public believe that their life will be fun and pleasure, they just need to stop support ukraine and then they will see prosperity and happiness.

__
Politicians are smarter than mainstream mass media customers. ;)

Support to Ukraine is done exactly cos pragmatic:p;) reasons in order to reduce sufferings and risks.

While we here have Kremlin's assets brainwashing us in order to change public opinion.;)
Job for Kremlin is done also here on daily basis.;).
