Trevor Reed, the former American marine that Russia arrested for public intoxication and fighting with police that Biden got released last year has reportedly been injured fighting in Ukraine.

For which side?

No, but Russia’s population crisis that has made Putin abduct thousands of Ukrainian kids to Russify might.

As a Russian supporter how do you feel about them taking thousands of children from their parents?

who said I am a "Russia supporter" ?

Just because Russia hasn't collapsed yet due to sanctions doesn't mean they won't eventually.\

Why don't you check on Cuba or North Korea and let me know how life is living under decades of international sanctions?

You think Russia is North Korea or a small island nation of Cuba? Can you name a country that has collapsed due to sanctions? Why don't you check if North Korea has collapsed yet?

I don't think the point the point of sanctions is the collapse of the Russian government.
Hell the west probably profits from a stable goverment in Russia, opposed to a bunch of breakaway rebelling statelets.

The point of sanctions should be to hurt their economy as much as possibly, to prevent them from acting on any illusions of grandure they might have.

Which is also why the sanctions shouldn't be on the negotiating table.
They can't be allowed to hold any leverage over Europe anymore.

Cuba and NK don't have to feed an enourmous active frontline though.

Cuba and North Korea have enough issues feeding their people as it is though because theyre not a massive landmass rich in resources nor as wealthy or as developed as Russia that can deal with sanctions.

The discussion started because someone was saying Russia will collapse economically.

I think that the dramatic collapse of living standards is quite the negative in both of those countries.

Why don't you move to one of them if they're so great despite sanctions?

I think Russia is heading directly down the path to be just as shitty as North Korea or Cuba

Cuba has a shitload of fertile land, it fails to feed its people because they still have collectivized farms (not really but kind of).

North Korea has not collapsed because China keeps it afloat, its unlikely Russia will collapse as in Haiti level collapse, but it will eventually be an isolated nation incapable of much.

Yea was thinking desert storm where fields were built like shit, mines not even buried a lot of times

Iraq believed that the US wouldn't give a shit about him invading Kuwait or that they would be too afraid to act.

He was ultimately wrong, not enough time to make enough defensive fortifications and its not like it would had helped much when the US could bomb Iraq into the stone age with impunity.

True but if you start doing something, should do it properly

It's not that you are providing a Russian POV, it's that you are obviously influenced by psychopaths like Douglas Mcgregor on the topic. Paid Russian shills claiming that the Ukrainian army has been on the verge of collapse every day since the outbreak of the war.
. German Defence Ministry points out shortcomings of Ukrainian counteroffensive (msn.com)
Yeah, I guess the Germans are wrong too, right?

"The Bundeswehr has criticized the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the counteroffensive, stating that they are using the skills acquired during training abroad incorrectly. The German military considers the division of combat units one of the main disadvantages of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They remark that "a joint battle leadership is not recognizable."

"Not only does this "increase the risk of friendly fire," but it also leads to "maneuvering elements lacking in focus because the soldiers are trying to build up their own momentum or establish fire superiority."

"In other words, as long as Ukraine divides the Brigades which have undergone training in the West into groups of 10-30 soldiers, isolated from the rest of the troops, neither Western training, nor superior armament, nor large quantity of manpower will be of any use."
