Exactly. If we don't help Ukraine push back Putin, he will start messing with the Baltic states which are in NATO. Then we'd be treaty bound to militarily fight.

So it is in our self interest to help Ukraine as much as possible - before it gets to that point.

Well, for russia after Ukraine long ago had been scheduled to annex Moldova or at least install a puppet like Lukashenko No2 in Moldova.

This also is reasonable for morale boost in Russia: after hard battle you need easy win ...

Moldova openly 32 years in row is scheduled to be subjugated by Kremlin's nationalists....
Medvedev and largest % of russian state duma ( parliament ) members always hated Moldova....all 32 years in row.
So 0 doubts that annexion of Moldova will be approved by russian parliament in 1hour ....
Hate they have vs Moldova isn't lesser level than vs Ukr, actually higher.
Next biggest " enemy " for them is Georgia.
Medvedev and Co does knows that russians had been ruled by georigan gyp**y Joseph Stalin and actually first fundaments of GULAG camps network had been built on russians bones to get infrastructure, build these concentration camps before to install prisoners....
Hitler learned from Stalin how to build concentration camps and hard work labour camps because the same Stalin already had and they worked well in russia even before Hitler took office in 1933 th...

So yeah, some % of hardcore russian nationalists with good skills in history hates Georgia...like no one else country. They want historical revenge....
While today Georgia is pretty usable to reduce sanctions effect on ruSSia, therefore they yet aren't incorporated in russian federation.

As if about Baltic countries they aren't nor Ukraine nor Georgia or Moldova.

Not only cos they managed to be full NATO and EU member countries and introduced euro ....

They does have heavily tied with western europe and U.S economy.
More than this: properties owned by westerners in these countries value is higher than their GDP and even worse than this: both mortgage booms were financed with westerners money. Locals aren't willing to invest in mortgage crediting in these countries.....

This isn't all in these countries....
Their investors in not rare cases opted to use such tactique: develop business, like factory and to sell it to the same americans, germans, brits and to buy something smaller in their ( western ) countries...

So yup, and this is just beginnig of big cake...just a little.

Also unlike with Ukraine, despite all trash for mainstream media customers " casuals " they are best lobby Israel does have in EU.....

Situation isn't clear.
Russia does have very huge losses in manpower and still they weren't able to encircle city ....
While supply route shelling they increased and overall situation isn't good for Ukr at all.

So Ukr does have 2 choices: to push more forces to kick rus back or to remove troops.
Decision is on Zelensky.

Also there never were nor rus nor ukr troops in very huge size directly in Bakhmut city. ....
Like is posted in wiki etc ...

Bakhmut and AREA close to this yeah, might had 30k ukr troops.
While with ~80% devastation of buildings and infrastructure this Bakhmut even didn't had technical capability to accomodate 10 k guys not alone more in Bakhmut.....

So we will continue to talk about real " wins " for average russian living in Russia because Russia does control Severodonetsk.
City is wreck.....
Factories most likely will be ceded to pro Kremlin oriented oligarchs...cos it is doubtable that Kremlin will invest taxpayers money to restore factories.
General infrastructure rebuilding will be on casual russian taxpayers ( plebs ) in Russia necks.
Then contracts will be awarded to pro Kremlin oriented oligarchs companies controlled by them directly or indirectly and they will purchase construction materials and hire sub contractors based on best bribes size they might get .....
Power plants too will be restored with russian taxpayers money.

Still for average pleb in russia it will be big pride and great hope.
For a reason they are called orcs.....
Properly brainwashed they are excellent tool ( ants ) for elite and politicians and busnessmans.

What China definitely doesn't want is to be, or appear to be, on the losing side of something like this. The whole "peace talk" nonsense, for example, is an attempt to hedge themselves against Russian failure and incompetence

Well, actually Russia does smell big threat for them in form that Moldova might negotiate borders with seperatists in Transistria in order to get accepeted in EU.
Without clearly defined borders de Iure and de facto actually isn't even easily to dream about EU membership.
They already had experience with Cyprus and now does have nightmare with Kosovo where for pragmatic reasons some peacekeepers had been installed.... to awoid next war in europe and next flow of refugees.

Lukashenko looks that most likely already had delivered some batches with T-62 tanks , maybe even 100 of these + russia is starting to relocate troops and tanks from regions where they doesn,'t have border with Ukr to dumbass etc areas.....

It all looks like Kremlin will do all the best in order to annex all oblastjs Putin had annexed on paper.
Ofc after this will attempt to control Odessa region and then Moldova will be on table.

Females in all age groups and males in retirement age are heavily supporting mobilisation and sending troops to Ukraine to fight.

Also looks that easily had consumed Kremlin's propaganda and are happy and statisfied with Putin.
"partial mobilisation " in Russia is going around till today and nothing had changed.
Like for Ukr....it isn't 1 th or 2 nd etc wave or other shit...
It is mobilisation with 0 interrupts....not just waves of mobilisation.


Lukashenko : Belarus is technically ready to do mobilisation, we have 500 000 ppl in our lists we might mobilise tomorrow if there will be necessity to protect Belarus.
