Why?

Can't anyone around here read the bigger fucking picture? Does every ounce have to be spelled out literally for anyone around here to get the fucking point?

Who gives a shit if it was a cropped quote? Anyone with any sense, who looks at the situation, should be able to grasp that what he's saying is highly likely if this goes beyond Ukraine.

Just because one bunch of fucking imbeciles want to look at part of it from a narrow view doesn't matter to me. I got what he was saying, and so I shared it.

Whoever's too fucking dumb to also see is not my concern. It's not my job to supply brains for comprehension.

Do you disagree with what he said, or do you fucking guys just demand to be butthurt?

Some of the stuff in here is informative sometimes, but this is how shit get's derailed.

Not sure if this is some 'shtick' ...but I find it amusing how quickly you went from 'aww gee shucks guys...what does this mean' to suddenly very aggressive tone and having a very strong view point from the 'I don't even know what to think here'.....seems like you were being disingenuous when making the prior posts because looks like you do have a clear viewpoint and mindset.

You're perfectly demonstrating that many of the 'both sides' people in this thread do indeed have very strong view points which they hide and act like they are being 'impartial/neutral'.

I already flat out said I agree with what President Zelenskyy said. So there's nothing I need to clarify. Like many former Soviets, I too am fairly direct and do not beat around the bush. Russian aggression is like a cancer, that must be rooted out in the beginning or it will spread.

There are plenty of full clips you and others can post yet when you post these edited clips, I have to wonder what your stated or unstated intention is....no matter the theatrics...

Exactly. If we don't help Ukraine push back Putin, he will start messing with the Baltic states which are in NATO. Then we'd be treaty bound to militarily fight.

So it is in our self interest to help Ukraine as much as possible - before it gets to that point.

So what are you bitching about?

I hope his death is not in vain. If this helps change minds in Israel and brings Iron Dome to Ukraine it will help change the course of war.

A Ukrainian drone operator being followed by a film crew feared his life could end at 'any moment.' He was killed the day before the documentary aired.

  • An Israeli documentary followed Evgeniy "Dodge" Markarov, a Ukrainian drone operator in the Donbas.

  • One day before it broadcast, the team received a call saying Markarov had been killed.

  • He'd been philosophical about death in the footage, musing that his life could end at "any moment."
For days, an Israeli documentary team slept, ate, and lived alongside Evgeniy "Dodge" Markarov, a Ukrainian drone operator, as he went about defending his country from Russian attacks.

The footage of the 39-year-old formed a core part of a powerful documentary that was broadcast on Israeli TV last week, showing life on the frontlines of eastern Ukraine's Donbas region.

But a day before it aired, the filmmakers got a painful call.

A source in Ukraine relayed the news that Markarov had been killed by Russian artillery fire.

"He was killed a day before the broadcast," said Itai Anghel, a seasoned war correspondent with UVDA, Israel's leading current affairs TV program, during an emotional conversation with Insider.

"It's difficult because you don't have time to mourn," Anghel continued, adding that the team had to temporarily put emotions aside to work quickly on editing a new version of the film for the following day.

'This life may be finished at any moment'
Markarov, who once worked as a sound technician for rock bands, was not dissimilar to many of the young Ukrainians who rushed to defend their country after Russia invaded last February, risking their lives in the process.

An estimated 100,000 Ukrainians, many of whom had never picked up a weapon before last year, have been killed or wounded during the fighting.

Markarov, who received a Ukrainian military award for his service, had a wife and young daughter. He was described by Anghel as down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and often upbeat.

But Anghel said that Markarov had also long ago come to terms with the fact that he may die in the fighting.

One of the most poignant things about his death was a foreboding statement he gave to the filmmakers.

"This life may be finished at any moment, everything may be finished at any moment," Markarov said in the film. "But, I think, maybe in that moment, I will know everything about life."

Anghel said this answer was typical of the soldier, who he came to know well after being embedded with his unit in November last year. Filming largely took place in trenches near Toretsk, which at the time was at the epicenter of the fighting in the region.

"He was sort of a philosopher all the time," said Anghel of Markarov, adding that he now regrets asking Markarov the leading question.

"In a strange way, I almost blame myself for asking it," Anghel said. "I don't have a mystic bone in my body, but when you get such terrible news about him getting killed, you think about everything."

Indeed, when the journalist offered to send him footage from the documentary when it was released, Marakov gave both his cellphone number and several additional numbers belonging to relatives.

"He was like: 'I might not be here, people are dying all over, and my six best friends were killed. So, take the phone number of my father or my mother or my wife,'" Anghel recalled.

Markarov was one of four members of the 5th Separate Assault Regiment who was killed last Wednesday. Insider was unable to verify the number of soldiers from the regiment who have died since the outset of the war.

Anghel said the UVDA team re-edited the documentary in time for its broadcast, adding an 'in-memoriam' section to Markarov, and is in the process of creating an edit specifically for his family.

"It is a comfort [to know] that he would have a legacy," Anghel said.

That was my whole point, what are you motherfuckers bitching about?

Oh the clip was chopped for some reason, waaaayyy I'm offended, let's go on about that instead of WTF he was talking about and the ultimate ramifications thereof!

People act like they can't comprehend the message, and are all put out, over what?

You know, obviously its my mistake, I assumed a higher level of sense and understanding amongst these fucking retards.

Carry on.

Russia has lost a large-scale tank battle for Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast, getting ambushed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine — just as it did during the attack when using tank convoys at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Source: The New York Time

Quote: "In the extended battle, both sides sent tanks into the fray, rumbling over dirt roads and manoeuvring around tree lines, with the Russians thrusting forward in columns and the Ukrainians manoeuvring defensively, firing from a distance or from hideouts as Russian convoys came into their sights.

When it was over, not only had Russia failed to capture Vuhledar, but it also had made the same mistake that cost Moscow hundreds of tanks earlier in the war: convoys advancing into ambushes."

Details: According to NYT, the charred hulks of Russian armoured vehicles now litter farm fields all about Vuhledar, according to Ukrainian military drone footage – blown up on mines, hit with artillery or obliterated by anti-tank missiles.

Ukraine’s military said Russia had lost at least 130 tanks and armoured personnel carriers in the battle.

Again, no one was 'offended' by anything. You're being called out for being disingenuous.

"Oh the clip was chopped for some reason"

Yea that reason is to manipulate the public opinion against President Zelenskyy and Ukraine. Why are you reposting it?

Am I offended by it? No. Why would I be? I don't give a shit. I just hope people are direct and truthful. I rather talk with someone who's openly for Russia than to have this nonsense.

That's WTF I said in the original post.

If you fucking guys are more concerned about about a clip being to short, too long, doesn't wipe your ass the way you want, and start wasting time Deliberately trying to misunderstand, I got nothing for for.
Being like that, Looking for everything to whine about in every fucking messages, is some retarded assed, childish shit. That's what fucking irks me about this place. Everytime a thread starts to be beneficial, informative or otherwise enlightening, here's comes the butthurt over every word phrase and nuance imagined. Its goddamn retarded and I've no patience for it.

Forget I even posted it. fucksake.

To be fair, its not that soviet equipment is bad, its just not being adapted properly by moronic Russian commanders.

You're 'seemingly' getting more and more upset while continuing to deflect. No worries. If you want to drop it by all means. I did not intend to 'rile you up' or raise your blood pressure if that's what's happening.

If I posted something I didn't mean, I'd just 'say my bad' and move on. You're taking the 'if I get louder and cause a scene' approach then surely I will be right. I suppose everyone has their manner of debate and communication.

They have to think about leaving it, I'll give it week, two tops with how things are currently going. While the situation is not terrible yet with russian advancing closer on the western side of the city it will soon be. I hope Ukranian general staff is not as obsessed with the city as Russians are.
I just hope no civilians decide to try and stay

Me too. Hope they're not stubborn for PR or political purposes and just withdraw strategically.

According to information published on the Russian Social Network "VK" on February 28, 2023, Russia send its latest generation of local-made 8x8 wheeled armored vehicles Bumerang to the NVO (Novorossiya or New Russia) zone, also referred to as the Union of People's Republics, the confederation the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) in Eastern Ukraine.
The design of the Bumerang is very similar to European-made 8x8 armored vehicles with the driver position at the front left side of the hull, the turret in the middle and a troops compartment at the rear. The vehicle's hull is made of welded aluminum alloy with reinforced steel plates, providing protection against small arms fire, shell splinters, and shrapnel. The sides and rear of the hull are also sloped to deflect incoming projectiles. It also features advanced armor protection, including a combination of passive and active protection systems, to provide high levels of survivability for its crew and troops.

The Bumerang IFV is equipped with a remote-controlled turret mounted on the roof, which is armed with a one 30mm automatic cannon, one 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and two anti-tank missile launchers mounted on each side of the turret. The vehicle is equipped with the latest generation of computerized fire control system including a multi-channel electro-optical sighting system and a laser rangefinder.

The Bumerang is motorized with a YaMZ-780 four-stroke turbocharged diesel engine developing 550 hp coupled to a seven-speed automatic transmission and a hydro-mechanical drive system providing the Bumerang IFV with exceptional mobility and maneuverability on a variety of terrains, including rough terrain, soft soil, and water. The vehicle can reach a maximum road speed of 100 km/h. It can cross water obstacles at a maximum speed of 10 km/h thanks to two waterjets mounted at the rear of the hull.

I mean, I get the need for bravado and fuck Russia and Putin but Zelenskyy is an arrogant motherfucker - he talks like he's the most powerful man in the world! This reads like he's ordering the USA around. Im kinda getting sick of seeing and hearing him now. He's getting on my tits.

He's talking about NATO. He specifically says so at 13 seconds in.

I don't want to be a dick here but the selective editing isn't even done well, you shouldn't be falling victim to a blatantly obvious misrepresentation when it's so poorly done.

  • Ukraine's defense ministry says eight Russian armored vehicles lie smoldering thanks to one soldier.

  • Ukraine says the soldier took out five tanks and three other vehicles in a single day in Donetsk.

  • A social-media post about the apparent feat included praise for US-provided Javelin missiles.
Equipped with US-provided Javelin missiles, one Ukrainian soldier took out five Russian tanks in a single day, Ukrainian authorities say.

The feat took place during a major Russian armored assault on Ukraine's 79th Air Assault Brigade outside of Marinka, just west of the city of Donetsk, a social-media post by the brigade said.

The post said that during the fighting, the paratrooper took out the five tanks as well as three infantry fighting vehicles known as BMPs by constantly switching up his position.

It said that supporting artillery destroyed a further four BMPs.

A video posted by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense appeared to show the tank strikes:

Since the start of Russia's invasion in February 2022, the US has supplied Ukraine with about 8,500 Javelin missiles — a powerful shoulder-mounted portable anti-tank weapon. They've become a key part of Ukraine's defense.

The Ukrainian defense ministry's video post was accompanied by text that said, "American weapon in Ukrainian hands works wonders."

Marinka, about 13 miles west of Donetsk, has been subjected to repeated assaults by Russian forces and today lies largely in ruins.

The Ukrainian posts showing footage of strikes did not make clear when they took place, but they came amid reports of Russian forces trying to advance around Marinka as part of a wider objective to control the region.

The Russian news outlet Readovka reported on fighting around Marinka on Monday, saying Russian forces had fortified their positions in the south of the city. It made no mention of losses.

Insider was unable to independently verify the tank claims, but one still from the footage posted by the Ukraine defense ministry appeared to show two distinctive hill formations resembling those that appear in and around Marinka when viewed in Google Earth.

Such strikes would put further pressure on Russia's supply of tanks — a recent report from The Economist described its demand for tanks as outstripping supply by a factor of 10.

The open-source intelligence platform Oryx has estimated that Russia is losing about 150 tanks a month, while the Economist report said its sole factory producing them could make only 20 in that time.
