IF the Dems manage to hold onto their indignation long enough to take back the House and the Senate, I don't believe there are sufficient numbers of them with enough sack to actually impeach him without something actually criminal or health related to pin on him as justification.

To do otherwise setups up too much of a sketchy precedent should Republicans somehow get control back but a Dem gets elected as President.

Cause that could become the new pinnacle of government nuttiness...impeaching Presidents you don't like if the opposition has majority control of congress.

Now, that doesn't speak to whether you have a problem with his policies, it's about having real substantial legal or health reasons for removing a sitting President for reasons other than you hate him and what he stands for.

I suppose since Mueller is looking to interview Trump we can expect another Republican Congressman to come out with a new allegation against the FBI

It was the book. You were saying crazy shit like "Trump won't be able to show his face again! He's finished!"

Just be honest. You put a lot of stock into that book causing Trump to resign. I'm guessing you're not as confident as you were during Micheal Wolff's 15 minutes of fame.

Well to be fair when was the last time Trump did a press conference? He can't show his face because all the questions will be about Stormy Daniels and how utterly incompetent he is. I'll admit I think the book was very damaging but this investigation is what will bring down the Dear Leader.

Also if the Dems win control of congress Trump is toast.

You are delusional if you think Trump will ever be re elected. I think even you know it isn't true but facts are not something Trumpers really care about.

38% DOES NOT get you reelected
You sound just like the people who said there's no way Trump will ever get elected....

Dems win the house and senate in 2018 and impeachment proceedings begin on day 1.
The Democrats just kissed good by any chance of any legislative majorities with this last shutdown negotiation.

They gave the Republicans a compelling enough argument to pull over fence sitters, and they caved in the face of their bases demands.

My prediction has always been that the Republicans pick up 3-4 seats in the Senate.

I think there is enough there to impeach based on substantial legal issues as well as things like what just happened with CNN. Trump acts like a child and a raging lunatic uses Trumps own words (fake news) as justification to threaten to kill journalists. I mean just that alone should be grounds for impeachment. He is the freaking POTUS for christs sake.

I mean he paid a porn star 130K to keep quiet? I mean come on

You sound like an uneducated partisan hack who is incapable of having a reasonable conversation because of your bias.

The democrats went all in on Hillary being a woman, and turned the election from deciding who should be president into the election being a decision whether women should be valued (vote Hillary) or treated like sex dolls (vote trump). Trump did not make the election a referendum on women, the dems did. And they lost. Now their core identity is offended every time they see or hear trump’s name. Sad, they did it to themselves.

Not the millions of people who are going to re-elect him.

Right, the guy that got less % of the electorate than Romney when people actually believed his lies is going to get reelected.

Except the Dems are polling even less than 38%:

Trump's weak poll numbers don't tell the real story
The latest poll of polls by the Huffington Post has Schumer's approval rating at a measly 26 percent, 13 points lower than President Trump. The same poll of polls has Pelosi's approval rating just a hair better at just under 29 percent. Perhaps the only other Democrat who came close to holding the floor on the shutdown as often as Schumer and Pelosi did was Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, who holds an anemic 37 percent approval rating of his own.

This is actually a pretty good analysis.

Great post!

What he says isn't nearly as important as what he does as far as his job and overall responsibilities as President. Once again, it comes down to has he done something illegal while in office? Can it be proven enough to take to a court of law? Does he have a health concern serious enough that it impedes his ability to conduct his duties as President? Can it be legally verified by a panel of experts?

Like I said, I understand I really do. He says a lot of stupid shit and apparently has little regard for playing nice politically. That's still not enough, in my mind at least, to unseat a duly elected President capable of discharging his duties. Doesn't mean I'm right either, I just believe doing so simply based on how you feel about his positions or what he tweets is a dangerous reason, politically, to do so.

They would just be following the GOP's lead.

Amazingly, that rhetoric has consequences. Impeachment has been seen as a weapon for political disagreements for a while now.

A few idiots on either side can always be expected to pop off with stupidity like this. That's different than a majority of sitting congressman and women of the Democrats or Republicans agreeing it's a great idea and going through with it.
