To be honest though I would argue the establishment is probably much happier with Brand turned into a more right wing conspiracy theory type than it was when he was a somewhat more sensible Corbyn supporter.

I think he's a great advert that when you so totally suppress any viable socialist alternative the rise of the far right is inevitable, anti establishment feeling will end up being filtered into right with conspiracy theory politics instead.

Ir was during the Saville terror I was worried about Del Boy. I didn't think for a second he would have done anything but just the thought of it. It ruined poor Cliff Richard.

It's an interesting question. Me personally, I'm not invested in any celebrity enough to be affected by allegations made against them. However others are and it hurts them when allegations are made against somebody they feel connected to or have an emotional connection.

This is the insidious nature of allegations being made public. It's wrecks a persons career and reputation outside of due legal process.
