It's an interesting question. Me personally, I'm not invested in any celebrity enough to be affected by allegations made against them. However others are and it hurts them when allegations are made against somebody they feel connected to or have an emotional connection.

This is the insidious nature of allegations being made public. It's wrecks a persons career and reputation outside of due legal process.

Easy accusation to credit given his reputation as (mostly) a ladies man and a degenerate.
Doesn't mean it's true of course, but the reporting seems to have a lot more details and sources than the usual frivolous accusations about celebrities that sometimes make the news.
Isn't celebrity stuff more of a Mayberry topic though? I'm aware he has political opinions which he voices on social media, but I'd hardly associate him with any great political relevance.
