Law russell brand allegations

That ISN'T the conspiracy though, Russell Brand IS A LIBERAL.

Again, none of you people listen to anything this guy actually says. I wasn't talking about the allegations - he hasn't really delved into any specifics in his defense, I'm talking about casting Brand as a Right Wing Conspiracy Theorist.

If you actually listened to his content you would realize he's neither.

He's definitely not a liberal.

There's always a certain amount of contemporary tribalism involved in these types of things. I remember reading about a certain, now long defunct, ancient society in South America whose members upon learning of any intermingling with neighboring tribes would not
expel the guilty tribe member, but would instead participate in group execution usually by stoning them to death of burning them to death as a warning to others not to violate tribal dictates of loyalty.

Being 'cancelled' by either side is no doubt much less painful, especially when you're sitting on a $20 million fortune.

Got to love the double standard where most folks into these conspiracies also think that the government is incompetent and corrupt, except when they need to enact a conspiracy that involves hundreds or thousands of people keeping quiet.

It's really not difficult to keep hundreds or thousands of people quiet.

It's called classified information.

He's definitely not a liberal.

I agree. He is a leftist. He promotes unity among class interest instead of petty cultural issues that affect small minorities.

His content is far closer to Marx than it is to modern conservative ideology.

He is far to the left of the Democratic party and liberals in general. He is anti-war, anti-censorship, pro union and pro working class.

In the 90s he would have been considered a liberal,. But liberals have slid so far to the right that they no longer resemble the ACLU liberals of just 20 years ago.

And leaks happen all the time, involving information that's much easier to keep secret than a mass conspiracy. People and institutions are notoriously bad at keeping secrets for super long periods of time.

Yeah leaks happen way less than the confidential information staying confidential.

Certainly. But if you think that the Brand allegations are some elaborate plot spanning a decade and involving hundreds of people, I have a bridge to sell you.

Oh I doubt that. I wouldn't put it past a former drug addict to do some pretty bad shit. He's charismatic enough to not have to stoop to doing anything creepy but you never know with people. Innocent until proven guilty but I'd lean toward guilty with his past.

Fair enough. Some folks in this thread are a little more....off base. lol

Is that the only part of my post you read? Did you miss the part where I said his political leanings are irrelevant here and that's why it's fucking stupid to paint him as the victim of a smear campaign?

Again you're missing the point. This isn't about Left vs Right, Democrat vs Republican. This is about exposing the powerful elite. He's being smeared because he's calling them out, and they don't give a shit about the Left/Right paradigm that is only there to create division amongst the masses so they fight each other taking the focus off of them. This is a huge part of Brand's messaging.

Dude, we can be assured that no matter what, the coordination of three major news outlets presenting 15 year old allegations has NOTHING to do with politics or the fact that Brand constantly shits on legacy media and other multibillion dollar institutions…

Take the tinfoil hat off already!

That's not the gap. Not sure if you're lying or just stupid, though. Liberalism is about how you think as much as what. Putting an emphasis on science over other claims to knowledge (revelation, intuition, culture, etc.) is the key thing. On issues, support for a market-based economy, representative democracy, and limited gov't are the main liberal issues (which allows for a very wide range on the left-right spectrum).

He is far to the left of the Democratic party and liberals in general. He is anti-war, anti-censorship, pro union and pro working class.

Anti-censorship is a core liberal value (see above about limited gov't). He's definitely not to the left of Democrats on those other issues either.

Very wrong.

Ah yes, Brand being a multimillionaire is a real salt of the earth guy and not an elite. Why is Brand not an elite? Do you have to be a billionaire or something?

If you can't understand the difference between these two thing I can't help you.

You're welcome to actually watch his videos to understand who he's pushing back against.

So far nobody has taken this challenge and been able to address his actual content.

We can make this simple. What do you define as an elite and what/who is not an elite then?

His occupation and interests have no bearing on whether or not I think he did what is alleged.
