This is a sweet idea, especially as Magneto's Holocaust origins are going to need to be dropped from any MCU appearance that is set in the present day. Only so old that dude can be.

You know, like 5 years ago I kept recommending that DC do completely serious tone movies, and I used Mr. Freeze as an example. I actually started writing a script for it for fun. I was inspired after seeing 'The Theory of Everything.'

Arthur Fleck’s Joker is to much of a dumbass to be any kind of threat to Batman. Even the Adam West version would kick his ass without breaking a sweat.

The first was good, not spectacular. It was slow paced and then built to a better paced finish

If the sequel follows the packing of the last 20 minutes or so that will be great

But the whole dark and gritty theme works much better with DC. The only person i can see being done succsesfully in that style would probably be Punisher or Daredevil. Even then Batman does it better.

Arthur Fleck has now become the joker, one of the most prolific and dangerous of all villains, for it to continue at a slow pace would be pretty pathetic

The pacing an action should be similar to that of the Dark Knight.

Okay here is the nitty-gritty. THR just spoke up with some wacky news. Little Monsters (not that one) director Abe Forsythe is going to make a new RoboCop movie, currently called RoboCop Returns. It’s not part of the remake universe. In fact, it’s a direct sequel to the first RoboCop, marking another step in this trend of choosing which films you are making sequels to and which ones audiences are supposed to ignore. No great crime there, I suppose, as the two RoboCop sequels we’d be forgetting aren’t very good (okay, the second one has some pretty great stuff in it).

If this is going to happen, it’s going to happen with or without our whining about it, so we might as well make peace with the fact that another RoboCop 2 is coming down the pike. ​
