NZ are obviously big favourites, but it is actually quite open really.

Ireland and Wales always seem to hit a ceiling of quarters/semis every WC.

England could get to the final or lose in the group stage.

I’ll go NZ over England in the final (without actually looking at brackets etc).

On further inspection of the draw seems NZ v England Woolf more likely be in the semis.

NZ v England
Australia v Ireland

Aus v NZ final, yawn.

I agree.

After the win in Chicago I was picking Ireland to win the RWC.

They don't seem to be the same team anymore. While England are peaking right now imo, time will tell if they remain strong by the time the semis begin.

Ireland seem to just plateau at every WC. Can’t remember them ever getting past the quarters, no matter their talent or form.

They are officially the number 1 team in the world.....still expect them to lose in the quarters as always (probably to South Africa).

Aussie picked up a win against the ABs not too long ago now. I don't think anyone wants to see that rehashed rivalry as the final. Though it would be sweet revenge if the Wallabies won.

I saw an interesting piece comparing the current All Blacks to the team that won in 2015.

That team that won in 2015 looks like a dream team compared to the team that has gone to Japan.

Besides New Zealand, South africa and England both look in shape currently.

South Africa going into the world cup undefeated this year. If Etzebeth makes it they could be the dark horse of the tournament.

I'll be going to the games in Yokohama. Pretty stoked.

I picked Wales but they are apparently banged up. So I'll go with Canada.

Certainly the most beatable the All Blacks have been in a while.
NZL
ENG
AUS

France has an interesting squad.

Ireland & Wales still wont make it past the QF.

What is the USA's best shot at winning a game? Obviously England and France murk us and I'm thinking Tonga probably does as well. Do we have a shot against Argentina?

Argentina are way better than Tonga. Whilst mainly losing to the big boys, they are normally competitive and win games from time to time.

Would guess USA will lose all their games, but maybe half a shot at beating Tonga.

All blacks.
Also, pool B;

Argentina would smash Tonga. Real good, tight scrummaging team and better organised in genenral.

The team also play a lot together for the Jaguares and face regular competition while Tonga (and all the PI nations tbh) have players that can't make it because they're contracted to European clubs and can't get together to train, let alone play games.
