Go Scotland.

These guys have been punting the ball down field a lot I've noticed. What's up with that? Fatigue? Or are they required to do it? Also, what's the deal with them deliberately punting it out of bounds?

You kick the ball into your opponents half to force them to commit to attack. Or kick back.

Generally you don't attack from within your own half, unless your behind in points.

I think AB are using this tactic to beat the rush defense, everyone has adopted. Make you rush defend for 5-6 phases then hoof it down field so they have to run it back. So by the 60 minute mark the opposition are knackered and the AB's will just roll over the top of them. TJ box kicking to Bridge for like 4 rucks in a row was a sign that this is what they are trying to do.

Yes and no.

A 10 will kick long and into space when the attack loses its shape or or its slow ball.

The kick chase will then look to force errors further upfield with an aggressive defence.

They will however kick infield as opposed to touch so that the ball stays in play longer and sides get tired.

They will use shorter little chips over the top to beat a rush defence.

I still think TJ is a better 9 than Smith. Sure his passing isnt as fast, but everywhere else I think TJ is superior.

I missed the All Blacks game.

Rough as guts.

Feel sorry for Georgians as they didn't look like the team wanting to be in a expanded 6 Nations

Springboks beat the Italians 49-3.

...and this happened.

I don't know what they were thinking. Italy already didn't hold out much hopes for that game but this ruined everything.

That red card for Lavanini is a joke. The guy is 2m , how low is he supposed to go when Farrell almost drops to his knees ?

Very harsh, but that’s the new rule. I’m not sure that would even have been a yellow a few months ago.

One look at Sam Underhill, and it’s clear he was born to do one thing and one thing only. Tackle rugby players.

He might have a hobbit’s name, but he tackles like an ogre. After Ellis Genge he might just be my favourite England player at the moment.

Lumbers a bit with ball in hand, but my word, that boy can properly flatten you.
