Rousey shouldnt get next title shot

Don't use the word delusional if you don't think Tate can beat Ronda. Funny thing is people called me delusional when I said Tate would sub Holm in the 4th/5th. Yeah those people have suddenly gone mode quiet.
Difference between subbing somebody with zero submissions and subbing a submission specialist who has already subbed you twice.

Bring on Cyborg now that there is a champion confident enough to take a non-title catchweight fight while waiting on Ronda's movie filming interim.

Beauty vs. The Beast II (With Misha staring as Gina Caranno!)
Miesha won't fight Cyborg, she said she wouldn't fight Nunes because Rousey wouldn't imagine what she'll say about Cyborg, especially at a catchweight.

Rousey won't be around til about October you're crazy if you think Holm will wait that long, she's the most active fighter in the division. Let Tate be protected for the sacrifice to Ronda and let Holm knock off 1 or 2 contenders like Zingano & Pena or Nunes.

Going to have to agree to disagree. I like most of your post and agree with you more times than not. We'll see sooner than later. I'm have a feeling this is going to be booked for 200. Especially since they keep pushing back roadhouse's filming.

Agreed to disagree, I respect Tate I made a thread as soon as she won saying how I gave her no chance but she pulled it off, I'm just not going to discount Rousey as a serious threat & Holm as a serious contender in that division just because she got submitted in a fight she was doing pretty well in.

1. Economically it is probably the right move for UFC - gives Ronda a plausible path to reclaim the title. The fight will sell well. The old rivalry will be rekindled. Both Tate and Ronda will promote the hell out of the fight. And - when people have time to think it over - they will realize that it will likely be one hell of a good fight. The winner can then fight Holly. Another big payday fight.
2. UFC feels some obligation to Ronda for her tireless promotional efforts and less obligation to Holly because she refused to "wait" for the Ronda rematch as they initially requested.
3. In terms of street justice, it seems a bit unfair. Holly gave Meisha a closer fight than Ronda gave Holly. Holly could very well beat Meisha in a rematch. Holly is "nicer", more respectful, more dedicated to the sport. But Ronda was the champ much longer, had more title defenses and dominated WMMA (at least at the 135 pound level) for nearly 4 years, not 4 months.
4. UFC has to think through how to manage this troika. My guess - they give the first shot at Meisha to Ronda but they are not going to wait forever for her to come back - a deadline of November at the very latest. Then the winner faces Holly. If Ronda loses to Meisha and Holly beats Meisha, then Ronda gets another shot at Holly.

Or Tate shoots, catchs Ronda in a double as Ronda charges forwards and uses her own aggression against her, puts Ronda on her back and works her over. And Ronda isn't good off her back. She likes top control.

Ronda has shown numerous times she can defend Miesha's double, controlled her from the bottom when Miesha was on top, and busted her up from the bottom as well.

Yeah she also she wanted the fight at 135 lbs.
Cyborg will never make that weight and Miesha won't go up, Cyborg is falling even deeper into irrelevancy now that Holm has lost, Holm was asking for the fight at 140lbs according to her manager which may be bullshit but she's still said it publicly multiple times.

Holm will have to earn her path to the title again, she's the most active fighter in the division so I can see her doing so.

To be fair to Ronda though she wasn't supposed to fight Holm until January but Lawler broke his thumb so the fight with Condit was pushed to January with Ronda being a team player.

She also has 2 submission victories over the current champion along with first minute submissions over Zingano & Kaufman who also have victories over Tate.

1. It's makes the most money, this is what the UFC is all about. It makes sense from a business point of view.

2. Miesha may well want a chance to get one over Ronda, she may feel she's improved now and can finally beat her, it may be the match she wants.

3. Ronda's dominance in WMMA was amazing. She's only had one muck up. Her dominance prior to the Holly fight has earned her some leeway and fast tracks to title shots.

4. The only reason everyone is whining about her getting the shot is because everyone was glad to see the back of her and hope she stays away and everyone is worried she'll come back and merk poor Miesha again. Re-igniting Rondamania once more. Many would have no problem with her getting an instant title shot again if Holly was still champion, as many would be confident she'd beat Ronda again and end her MMA career once and for all.

I think you nailed this one. I also think that the assumptions that Ronda beats Tate and that Holly beats Ronda are, while understandable, questionable - Tate learned from what happened to Ronda and she may improve her game against Ronda as well. Ronda should have learned from her fight against Holm and from Tate's victory how to develop a better strategy against Holm.

Holm's camp was not asking for the fight at 140. They wanted the fight at 135 as well and they also mentioned Cyborg doesn't fight in the UFC.

Sure, what was up was Miesha not getting a title shot against someone she had already lost to twice.

got it, so what you're saying is that initially when meisha was being talked about for a title shot, everyone magically forgot that she lost to ronda - then afterward, everyone suddenly remembered that she had lost twice to ronda in a crazy epiphany - at that point, it made complete sense to not go with meisha and was a logical decision, given that sudden, new information

im actually not trying to be a dck, i just dont know how to respond positively to people like you

haters wont be happy unless ronda goes through the tuf house and fights through several contenders to fight holm again.

I agree, I'd rather see Cat Zingano vs Miesha 2 for the belt and Holly vs Ronda 2 for the next shot
Why would Zingano get a title shot? That's ridiculous, she lost her last fight and hasn't fought in ages.

Lol Huh! Most people want her to fight Holly next. Try to keep up.
