It's like in their hurry to start adoring Holly, they forgot how beatable she is and how inventively dangerous Ronda is.

The butthurt unfolding due to Miesha choking Holm is hilarious

I'll admit I am a Holly whiteknight but what's wrong with me for not wanting to see Ronda as the champ again? If Hollys MMA game was as terrible as people are acting then fair enough, but to be fair she was winning 3 rounds to 1 going in to the 5th and stuffed 7 of 9 takedowns before getting choked out. If Miesha had shot those takedowns on Ronda we all know Miesha would end up getting hip tossed and armbarred, Holly has the potential to beat Miesha then beat Ronda again.

I said before the Holm fight that Tate would beat Ronda. Too many things going on in her personal life. Ronda has regressed and is mentally broken. Tate just looks better and better. This is mma. Just because you beat me before doesn't mean you're going to beat me again. Ronda is done.

I have faith in your words, I think a loss to her arch enemy certainly put her on suicide watch.

shes the biggest name, the ufc can use meisha as a way to sell a huge fight and get a likely win for rousey - they were stupid to not do the same the last time, in my opinion - not sure why they went w the holly holm risk when meisha is there to get mentally destroyed and tapped by ronda, leading to big dollars

How do you know she's regressed? We haven't seen her fight since she lost, styles make fights and that favours Ronda heavily against Miesha because Miesha doesn't have the skillset to execute Hollys gameplan on Ronda.

Actually IMO the belt IS the reason for her to fight Miesha a third time. The belt is what makes THAT FIGHT significant. Holm first to see if she deserves it.

But a 3rd fight isn't significant against Miesha if she beats Holly first, Ronda doesn't have anything to prove against Miesha.

I see where several different websites and people posting are saying Meishas first title defense should be against Ronda. This to me is absurd.

Regardless of her two wins over Tate, her several title defenses.....she still got DOMINATED by Holm.

I think rousey vs holm for the next title shot only makes sense.

Agreed 100%. Actually, that was the only thing that pissed me off on Saturday, when Dana came out saying that it's probably Ronda vs Tate next. Seriously, why? First of all, I don't want to see Tate/Rousey 3. Been there, done that, probably gonna go the same way as the other 2 times. Secondly, why does Ronda deserve an immediate title shot? Sure, she defended 5 times, but then she got violently and decisively dethroned. Not a performance deserving of an immediate title shot. Thirdly, I think the fans want to see Ronda/Holm 2 more than anything, that's the fight that needs to happen.

Because she hasn't been training since the the Holm fight. During the Meghan Olivi interview DW said Ronda texted him and said time to start training again. She put on a considerable amount of weight. Did you see her on the Ellen show? I'm not saying she's fat but she's probably in a similar situation like Rampage when he fought Rashad and had to spend most of his training camp making weight rather than gameplaning for his opponent. Plus, she mentally wrecked. She's obviously taking this fight because she thinks she can crush Tate. She doesn't respect Tate and that's going to be her biggest problem. The Tate she's fighting isn't the same Tate who she fought before. She going to refuse to acknowledge that Tate has improved in all faucets of her game and get humiliated.

I'm expecting this fight on the 200 card. Pushed by no one but Ronda herself.

The first 2 fights against Rampage were in PRIDE. Based on what? The fact that she submitted Holm in the 5th round when she was losing? If that was Rousey she would have defended that without a problem, Mieshas strengths play into Rondas strengths. We've seen this movie twice already...

There's nobody more qualified to get the title shot than Ronda. Her resume speaks for itself and 1 off night isn't going to make much difference.

Holly needs a couple of good victories over ranked opponents before she's considered for another title shot. She leap frogged everyone in the first place, including the woman that just choked her out and had her flailing her arms and legs like a roach that got sprayed with bug spray.

Holly needs a long break to decide if she evens wants to continue mma because the blueprint is out on how to beat her now.

This...entirely based on this..Holm was undeafeated in MMA and Dana couldnt give two shits about giving her a rematch for the title or a one vs Ronda.

He wants his cash cow back at the top...and matchups mean everything...Ronda beats Tate...again, then Holm vs Rousey is inevitable.

Right, it isn't about proving, it's about taking back what is hers. Frankly, I was against a third Miesha fight from the first time they mentioned it. I'd much rather see Zingano or Nunes get into the picture.

Ronda only lost to Holm because she got reckless & tagged in the first, was out on her feet the whole fight.
