Doesn't sound like Rothwell is taking the loss very well. Not using the " fighter making excuses " line but a little disappointed on how he downplayed JDS's win. Stating how if he could have grappled more and got the takedown the fight would have been finished, also how he thought the fight was close and he won the 5th round... Regretting taking a guy on a loss...

He bought into all that bullshit he was saying before the fight, JDS completely outclassed him and I stopped listening as soon as I heard the old "Everybody knows that's not my full potential" excuse, sorry Big Ben but ya fucked up and honestly I'm glad, Rothwell wouldn't stand a chance against Werdum whereas JDS has already KO'd him.

The same guy who got flagged for elevated testosterone levels when he fought against a light heavyweight?

It doesn't bug me too much when guys make excuses for losses- it makes sense to me, its a sport that requires and necessitates a totally unrealistic sense of confidence (the idea that you cant be beaten) and one of the best ways to avoid losing this confidence is to go into denial and make excuses - which may or may not be valid.

Doesn't really bother me because it makes sense- I feel like you can't have your cake and eat it too; you watch a ridiculous and dangerous sport you are going to get equally ridiculous personalities.

But the dude has a win on his record which should have been a no contest. He failed a drug test. The whole testosterone replacement therapy debacle was so ridiculously stupid for even being allowed in the first place, and he took it even further by having elevated levels.

The whole idea of him calling out guys for PEDs- regardless of whether or not they have failed tests- is irritating to me.

Rothwell literally put on one of the worst 5-round performances I've ever seen, luckily Demian Maia has him beat. He did nothing the entire fight and let JDS pick him apart. It reeked of Ben just going through the motions and realizing he was outclassed and too scared to open up because he knew he'd get clocked.

He shouldn't be talking any sort of shit, and if he really said the fight was close he should get checked for a concussion ASAP.

He said something like I was out on my feet at that point and that it wouldn't have happened otherwise. The whole interview was really cringe.
