Ross Enamait Article on Cereal

How bad are the Kashi cereals made with organic whole grain wheat?

I understand they shouldn't be a daily staple but once or twice a week can't be bad, right?

^^^If you are eating the cereal once or twice a week, I wouldnt worry about it, lol!

Kashi Go Lean is the only cereal I'll eat. I eat it once in a while.

Cereal is a refeed/cheat staple for me. Captain Crunch, Reese's Puffs, you name it... I tried to explain to my mom the difference between Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal and actual oatmeal, but she wouldn't have it.

Cocoa Pebbles on a refeed day would be bad news bears for me. I can see myself eating 3 or 4 boxes of it. Fucking chocolate crack.

Cereal is seriously more addictive than cocaine.Thank god I don't buy it.

Kashi cereal is good if you're backed up. It gives some nasty farts too.

Rice Krispies Treats cereal > Every other sugary cereal. Coco krispies does come close though.

Because of this thread, I am going to schedule a RKT and CK cereal post workout cheat meal.

i love how cereal boxes show the "nutritional pyramid" with grains as the most important serving size.

i wonder why..

Oatmeal squares ftw! I'm still getting accustomed to the real shit... hard to swallow personally. In the meantime, Oatmeal squares does the trick. Not too bad nutrition wise.

6 grams of sugar per ~60 grams of cereal
5 grams of soluble fiber

Another added bonus is the fact that when I soak it in milk.. it does not get soggy for quite some time.

Prior to my paleo diet, I used to love eating plain shredded wheat. Good complex carb, no sugar, and tastes great.
