Not too interested in what Norm has to say until he halts his spiral of depression, drug/alcohol abuse and xenophobia. He has gotten so dumb in the last 5 years.I'm interested to see if Norm will try and defend her.
He's always been her biggest supporter since she hired him to write for the original show
Of course. While there is clearly a double standard being applied, and I definitely don't feel her tweet is deserving of all this blow-back, you take on a lot of risk when you hold a very public position. You have to take special care to avoid offending overly sensitive people.
I want a 50% refund on this joke.I heard both Beckys were seen returning their new Hyundai's about an hour ago.
If there was still any doubt left in anyone's mind about this woman's integrity, a recent tweet should make things crystal clear.
Referring to Barack Obama's former aide, Valerie Jarrett, an African American born in Iran to American citizens, Roseanne said Jarrett was what would happen if the "Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes had a baby".
After receiving obvious blowback (probably most of it from the producers of the Roseanne reboot, already green-lit for a second season) she followed up with another tweet that simply said, "I apologize. I am now leaving Twitter."
BREAKING: ABC has canceled the Roseanne series as a result of the tweet in question. #winning
How did she do that? She didn't offend "overly sensitive people"...
She messed with the Disney corporations' money...
You and I both know how that ride was going to end.
Wouldn’t those comments make her Alt Left? The KKK and other white supremacist groups are left wing.
Lincoln(guy who freed the slaves) was a Republican.
Right. Because black people have historically been compared to monkeys and white people haven't.
She made ABC (and it's owner Disney) look by being an overtly racist employee...
You do NOT make Disney look bad and expect to keep your job.
I am sympathetic to the point you are trying to make. There is a long racist history of comparing black to monkeys and apes. However, your claim simply isn't true.Right. Because black people have historically been compared to monkeys and white people haven't.
Yes, humorous gifs have been the typical response to this. I'm all good on gifs right now. Do you have any facts?
Can you show me a source that proves that Trump supporters are more racist than the general public?
I don't research jokes, plus I could not remember the sons name. I also know Sara Gilbert is on one of those all woman panel shows.I want a 50% refund on this joke.
Sarah Chalke gets voice acting gigs like a motherfucker. She's all up in that roll-out-of-bed-in-the-morning-and-make-dat-Disney-money-in-sweatpants culture.
Ok. A Google search would answer your question.? Any sources that definitively show the average Trump supporter is or likely to be a racist than the general public?
"The 2016 campaign witnessed a dramatic polarization in the vote choices of whites based on (their level of) education," writes a research team led by political scientist Brian Schaffner of the University of Massachusetts–Amherst. "Very little of this gap can be explained by the economic difficulties faced by less-educated whites. Rather, most of the divide appears to be associated with sexism, and denialism of racism."
He literally admits doing this on video. It’s a very interesting interview from a very intelligent man.
Though he’s not a Nazi and he was just a kid when it happened.
Holy shit.. the show got cancelled...
Kinda fucked up. That’s a lot of people getting fired for one POS tweet..
PRobably the strongest argument to that statement is that the KKK openly stumped for Trump. Something they don't do for Democrats. More relevantly, they didn't do so for Romney or McCain. The implication being that they felt more acceptance campaigning for this candidate than even for previous GOP candidates. Not conclusive but very suggestive.
Also, that doesn't mean that the majority of Trump supporters are racist. But the question was about aggregate.
