I like this fight. Pretty good match up, thinking Rose finds the sub at some point.

Can Angela keep it on the feet?
If not, Rose may well leave with the W.

Edit: Also I know its good that they are seemingly giving Rose a chance to build up now... but shouldn't she be fighting someone higher in "rankings" because UFC has her as "#3" ? whereas Hill isnt in their top 15.
 
Rose is a much faster and technical striker. She should win this one pretty easily.

and you replied to my post within an hour, which tells me lots of things about your state of mind. several folks on here replied to your random insertion into the thread to say how you could grab them round the head , you dont think thats strange ? cos they all did.

i feel like rose wins the striking too...and you're right...i think these rankings are going to take some time to sort out, especially with the few fights that the UFC has booked at SW. :icon_cry2

Rose is 2-2. If she loses her next fight she'll have a losing record.

And I get that the rankings are crappy....but why the heck is Jag still ranked 12th? Do the people voting not know who she is?
 
Can't wait to see Angus complain about her salary and then pick up the loser's paycheck again.

Angela Hill gets a higher-ranked opponent than the one she wanted in Jojo Calderwood.

I think Rose is likely the better striker and very likely the better grappler so she should win.
 
Let me guess, it'll be on the main card of the ppv.
 
Angela is not UFC Caliber.
 
Anybody else wanna see Rose vs Joanna? I think that would be a really entertaining fight.

Should be a nice one to showcase Rose's submission skills, even if rankingwise it doesn't really make sense. Hill needs to pull off some quite big feats on the feet to keep it standing and even then it's a crapshoot.
 
Such a long time without Rose fighting, she needs to put some wins together, that good ranking with the record besides her name looks funny. One of the few fighters with potential to grow into an actual threat to Joanna in a couple years.

Yeah, I don't quite understand it, rankings wise or skill-wise. They both went through the gauntlet of the TUF20 house and ended up with the rankings they have, it's not like they are unknown quantities in the UFC.

Angela is a Muay Thai striker who is just developing her ground game. She's not a well rounded fighter yet. She should be fighting other below-top 10 fighters.

Rose is a more well rounded fighter who's record belies the fact she tore through the TUF20 house. Yes, she's probably ranked too high, but she should be fighting others in the top 10 at the very least. Randa Markos, Tecia Torres, fighters like that.

I just don't see Rose actually trying to grapple with her. It wouldn't surprise me if this was a standup fight and Rose being on the losing end. That being said, I still favor Rose but I still think it's a dangerous fight.
 
Rose however she wants and inside the distance,Hill isn't even top tier Invicta class.....hype train will be put back on the tracks and in no time at all,it'll be out of control...
