Ronda Rousey: The elephant in the room (IV ban)

Ronda - has to cut ~15 pounds to get 135
Cyborg - has to cut ~30 pounds to get 145

And yet she was terrified of Cyborg...

Cyborg can't even fight people her own size without steroids...

She's looked like crap since the IV ban has been put in place. She isn't nearly as strong as she was before the ban. Coincidence? I think not. She was clearly gaining an advantage by cutting a ton of weight. And yet she was terrified of Cyborg...
She's looked terrible since usada took over

BJ popped for using an IV after they were already banned. Was dolce helping him on that camp?

Stopped spreading falsity. He wasn't "popped" for anything. He admitted, during the questioning phase of the test mind you, to having an IV administered by his physician, for dehydration, out of competition.
He did not fail a test. There is no way USADA would've known if he didn't tell them. BJ Penn is a lot of things, but a cheater isn't one of them.

Ok so he admitted em. Do you expect me to believe that he didnt know they wernt banned? That was a major news topic for months. And somehow BJ penn, who has his own MMA News site in his name --- did not know they were banned. Gimmie a break.

USADA isn't to blame for her shit striking and even worse defense. She always got tagged rushing into the clinch, she finally ran into chicks as strong and big as her who knows how to strike way better than here, and most importantly aren't scared of her.

hypothetically though, coming off a program can have a huge impact on your confidence which in turn effects all aspects of your fight game.

Weve seen it in countless sports when someone who has previously been on a program comes back "clean". not just physical strength goes, stamina etc, but the confidence, aggression, you question your ability more and so dont attack the way you would do previously etc.

So lets imagine, hypothetically, youve been on PED's of some form your entire career. Might not even be anything major, might just be a lil' something to help you focus or concentrate, might be a lil'something to make the weight cut easier. Then take away that "lil' something" that youve been, maybe not dependant on, but have come to rely on to a degree for maybe ten years. Of course your confidence takes a hit.

No different to if someone has fought their entire career with a certain coach, and suddenly that coach is taken away.

people really underestimate the mental impact of ped's, maybe not in taking them, but the mental impact when they are taken away.

weve seen it in countless fighters over the last 18 months.. spot the guy who normally steams forward, suddenly more cagey, more unsure of his cardio, etc etc

He didn't know they were banned out of competition and when admistered by a physician. I choose to believe him. You could get an IV if you had the flu.
Anyway this is a Ronda thread so agree to disagree.
