Ronda Rousey should come back and pull a GSP

Pena just beat Nunes and since entering the UFC she's only lost to Valentina and Geramine and was holding her own in both fights. Nunes might end up being the better fighter but Ronda would struggle against any top 135/145'er even the ones she beat I'm skeptical she could again(Budd fight was 11 years ago and Cat was going through personal issues).

Pena got subbed by a striker with no ground game. Ronda's the greatest submission artist wmma has ever had.

Garbage. He fought Hendricks, Condit, Nick Diaz, Shields and everyone else relevant before he retired...and all the best WWs before that.

He would have lost rematch with Hendricks. GSP definitely got the worst of it physically versus Hendricks. It became quite convenient to retire rather than finish clearly on top like Khabib. When fighter not in Top 5 at MW became belt holder it was quite convenient to un-retire. He would have lost defense versus anyone in Top 5 at MW after he won the belt. It was quite convenient to retire again.

At least Ronda had motivation to take the higher paying Hollywood job after losing badly on two fights. She clearly didn't retire to avoid opponents.

How original.

There is nothing original in this forum. We are a broken record. But this tune plays true. GSP unlike Fedor and Aldo is a quitter to keep from losing fights. This is one of multiple reasons why Fedor and Aldo are far greater MMA fighters for the sport.

Ronda is only 35. She probably could do one come back with the weakness of the 135 lb division. Dana would probably love it for the money it would bring.

She should come back to the UFC and beat Pena for the title, then retire again. Dana would 100% book this fight and I'd favor Ronda.
That's not a bad idea. WMMA was supposed to have evolved past Ronda, yet here we are 7 years later with Pena and Esparza as champions. Now is the time for Ronda to do a GSP, I agree with you. Dana will give her WWE money.

I was thinking more for legacy reasons. GSP didn't need to come back, he did it for his legacy.
I get that may have helped GSP's legacy in some people's eyes. To me it was a trash move and I know I'm not alone with that view.

I can’t quickly think of many fighters I have disliked more than Ronda, however the revisionist history and disrespect she gets is crazy. Her two last fights consisted of a stylistic nightmare and the unquestioned GOAT of the womens 135 division.

Future people who look back on his legacy aren't going to be salty about GSP's run. They are going to see that he came back to the sport after a 4 year layoff and won a title a weight class up.

Staying around until you start losing isnt part of the criteria IMO. But thats why we all have different GOATs and value some things over others.

You are 100% retarded.

To me a trash move is prolonging your career into your 40s with the help of peds like the one in your avatar.

If she does, for the love of God use that judo and stop pretending like she's got this incredible standup
She desperately tried clinching with Nunes the whole time and couldn't get in range to clinch with Holm without getting tagged. She still managed a few clinches and went for an arm bar. Its a huge myth that Ronda tried striking with Holm and Nunes
