Media Roman Kopylov

I'm pretty high on him. Hoping he develops into a true MW contender, believe that will happen. Good timing, we have a few guys at MW who should pan out in Khamzat, Aliskerov and Kapylov. They're desperately needed.

What about Nickal?

Definitely doing better than I expected. Not going to say he will get to the title, lets see him fight someone in the top 20 first. Hopefully he gets a step up his next fight. Not sure if they are trying to build him or what but he keeps fighting people around the same range but I'd expect that to change for his next fight.

There's a huge gap between 170lbs and 185lbs, 185lbs is a horrible division these days...super shallow, few very good guys at the top, even a mediocre dude has the title. 170lbs is a deeper, more rounded and talented division. It's funny how there's talk of Kopylov coming for titles and I'm starting to come around on him myself but I always had him pegged as "just a fun fighter".

If there was such a huge gap, there would not be so many fighters going through tough weightcuts to avoid those MWs, as most recently Kevin Holland, whose record doesnt refflect the huge gap you refer.

For a guy of Kopilov's size, do you think its easier to handle Imavov, Craig or Fluffly Hernandez than Magny, Garry of Chiesa? A win over any of them gets you a spot in UFC rankings

I still can't get over the Roberson loss. Roberson has improved a lot but he was absolutely lost on the ground during his first few UFC fights and he choked Kopylov out to go on and get finished in his last four fights. Kopylov has had 4 bottom of the barrel wins, and he has looked awesome but I really don't expect much. Those are guys he should look great against. His style is super fun to watch though.
