Rockhold is smart af for holding the UFC hostage

View attachment 337281 Your post has nothing to do with what I posted. Did I dispute the fact that he missed weight, because he obviously did.
you're an idiot you bitch and moan about Rockhold not fighting him over the weight. Oh Luke gained it all back during that hour blah blah blah. It's not about Yoel packing weight on or having a weight advantage it's about how drained he got or didn't while cutting the weight. Luke looked like shit when he came out for the weigh ins Yoel looked like he always does.

I would not blame luke for not fighting. Hate to see it happen, but I really think maybe he should say fuk it. BUT he knows what COULD happen to him.

For sure he is, and everyone bitching at him can STFU. Oh Dana isn't going to do Luke any favours in the future? Who gives a fuck, that's pretty much par for the course.

I'd do exactly what Luke is doing. UFC allows this weight cutting BS...so the more times they get held over the barrel like this, the better. I hope Luke renegotiates his deal and fucks WME, and then goes out there and smashes that idiot Romero.

Perfectly stated

Luke accepted the fight, so hush your mouthtenor-35(1).gif tenor-27(2).gif

Fighters have no advocacy and a large number of UFC athletes work second and third jobs to survive. The universally contentious relationship the UFC has with fighters is underlining how each feels about the other.

Yoel Romero had 4 weeks notice, because he is a replacement fighter.

Romero is only one in a dozen fighters who have potentially ruined cards by missing weight. If you can't make weight in 4 weeks notice, you're probably fighting in the wrong weight class.

As for the fighters not having a voice, no one wins if potentially big cards are ruined by injuries. Injuries which can be avoided.

It reeks of unprofessional behavior.

Romero gasses all the time when he makes weight. So now, he decides to stop his weight cut early and miss the last 3lbs which are obviously the toughest to lose. If his gas tank looks better in this fight, we know why. And if he wins because he can all of a sudden keep up for longer, we also know why.

I would be surprised if it wasn't in the contract. You would think they would have their ass covered up and down. Luke would have been hated and crucified by the fans and the UFC if he would have turned the fight down.

Fortunately for the rest of the world, we don't make MMA rules based on your whimsical fancy. What Yoel does with his free time outside of camp is up to him. These people have lives, vacations, birthdays etc like anyone else.

You're right. But I'm not going to give him brownie points for taking the fight unlike some of you. He signed a contract and failed to make good on it. Simple as that.
