Hard no for me. When Strickland talks honestly about his tough upbringing, it's relatable and endearing. When he talks during fights, it's pretty funny. And I actually like his fighting style (unpopular opinion?) But I find the whole "I'll be as offensive as humanly possible and pass it off as humor" act to be disgusting. I've known that kind of guy in the real world, and I just ended up wanting to punch them in the face.

Sean Strickland challenged Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title at UFC 293 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney last month, claiming the belt in one of the year’s biggest upsets.

As member of the City Kickboxing Gym in New Zealand and training partner of Australian stars like Alexander Volkanovski, it was general perception that Adesanya was the home fighter. However, Strickland started showering praise on Australia from the moment he landed in Sydney. He went on to further connect with the audience during the presser and had them rallying behind him on fight night.

Former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker, who lost his strap to Adesanya in front of his home crowd in Australia at UFC 243 in 2019, believes he knows why the crowd rallied behind Strickland. While the newly-crowned middleweight champ is known for his polarizing opinions, Whittaker believes Australians don’t get offended easily. “The Reaper” also noted that Adesanya just tends to rub some people the wrong way.

Australia supports Strickland because Adesanya KOd Whittaker twice in Melbourne in the same fight. I don't think its rocket science. Why did Adesanya get more cheers in Miami over Pereira? Simple, the US market likes him.

The problem with this generation, or I should more accurately say society today in general is that people like YOU always want to put someone in a box and make prejudice assumptions with little info about the person.

A lot of people here only see things in black and white. And no I'm not talking about race. So he went to a BLM rally. He also spoke about growing from that after and that he was emotionally reacting to something rather than responding. And that in the future he would respond and not react.

Israel was also probably the only person to publicly defend Joe Rogan and call out the real reason behind the "N" word controversy Joe was dealing with. That doesn't sound like something a racebaiter does.

He dyed his hair pink to show that things like that don't define his masculinity. But Israel always says that he believes men should be men, in strong and dangerous. Not controlled because you are weak. He references Jordan Peterson often.

So maybe he doesn't fit the narrative a lot of you try and push. Everyone doesn't just agree with one side on every subject.

It was jerking off the dog, not sucking it off. And it wasn't a rumor - there was a video of him doing it that he posted himself. (An old video that no one ever paid attention to before.)

the US market LIKED him. He lost a lot of fans, including me, the night of the Dricus incident.
