Yep, but you said "ANYONE who attempts to take him down at this point beats him." That clearly wasn't the case. Font has beaten plenty of guys who attempted to take him down, including his most recent fight.

Also, Phillips gassed because Font put heavy pressure on him and went to the body hard. Give the guy some credit.

Alright, but I think you're making an exaggeration. Font's strength of competition has been pretty damn insane. The guys to beat him via grappling recently was Figgy, and sandhagen (who font accepted on short notice). That's two top 5 guys. Years before that he lost to Munhoz and assunçao because of grappling, two other top ranked guys -- all great grapplers. In a career of like 30 fights, that's not bad. He's beaten plenty of guys who have tried to take him down in that career, including his last fight.

He only loses to the best. I don't know if jean matsumoto is that guy -- I mean, he just went life and death with brad katona.

That said, I do fully expect matsumoto to get font down. We'll see if him winning is as simple as that, as you suggest.

I think Font beats the brakes of him but I dont know if Im rating Matsu correctly. Seems to me hes just barely beating the guys hes fought. And only has two ufc fights btw. Argueta fight he was losing badly but good on him for not folding against the wreckless wrestling of Dan.
