nah you can man. just look it up and make sure. maybe not japan but somewhere else for sure. who knows, check out your nearest embassy and schedule a visit and lay it all out to confirm. you never know man.

I'm a felon. Pretty much a no go for Japan. Legally. I've heard people just say they've never been in trouble on the entry questionnaire and Japan is like, "Enjoy your trip!" I may give it a shot someday. Maybe not until I have a lot of disposable income

Ah that sucks - could be worth trying though, not sure how the checking works (if they even do)

They just have you fill out a paper when you land at the airport. If you say you've been in trouble, they take you to a room and grill you about it, then send you straight home. If you check no, they let you in lmao. But, if anything happens and I happened to get in any situation while I'm there, probably banned for real. I think it would be worth trying, I love their culture. It would be a worthless existence without being able to have experienced it firsthand before I'm gone

I mean if anything happens there Japanese jail is different level so banned might be the least of your worries.

You get some drunk japanese guys starting fights with each other in kabukicho etc but beyond that you'd really have to be looking to get into trouble, it's very safe. Same as most of Asia really. So I can't imagine it would be a problem depending on what you're doing there

I think for HK and Macau they don't even have that form, China neither if your passport is visa free these days. Same with Taiwan and Singapore iirc (but you REALLY don't want to get into trouble in Singapore, they don't play around)
