Pic from the last event .. the pink goof and his garbage company are about to go downhill. This is proof that you can have a spectacular production if you put your heart into what you do. But the UFC, with its corrupted Western mindset focused only on stripping you down and selling you an overpriced product with garbage quality, is heading straight for bankruptcy. Salute to the Eastern world

UFC would never spend the money to do the pageantry of Pride, but there must be someone on the payroll that is a talented video editor and can do some epic event intro videos like Pride did. That can't cost too much considering they own all the fight footage right?

You have to let the old collapse to make room for the new
That's only true if you're building on top of ruins. Literally move next door.
The UFC isn't going anywhere soon. I'm a PRIDE diehard and I accepted that many many moons ago.
The UFC will continue it's slog and while its corporatization will affect the quality of the product until there is an actual negative repercussion from it, until then we'll have our fight night trajectory with 3 good fights a month and we'll enjoy it.

Enjoy RIZIN for what it is, a unique Eastern promotion attempting to keep the spirit of PRIDE alive.
Plus, Jiri and Mark Coleman playing drums.
I take it back OP, burn it all down.

Mark coming out on stage in Japan 25 years after winning the 2000 OWGP is fuckin great. I love Japan.

An image like this needs some music to accompany it

Dog, a japanese company is not going to be the thing that overtakes the UFC lmao.

Why not? It's the era of the internet people can watch things from all over the world. And Japan has an actual functioning society; maybe not like it was at it's peak but leagues beyond the western world.

A different (respectable) culture's MMA is not going to suddenly get popular in the beer-swilling, U.Fight.Cheap.

But in any case, I don't think RIZIN cares about overtaking the UFC. RIZIN seems to only care about their domestic market : an actual functioning, high trust society which is a rarity in the modern world.

Because they've always had issues keeping afloat whenever they tried to court the international market. Rizin was in a dire situation before they decided to just focus on their local market, no reason for them to go back to what wasn't working.

"The UFC is dying bro" has been a meme for a decade plus but goddamn if the product isn't getting increasingly boring. Or perhaps I'm just losing interest idk..still love martial arts but most of the times I watch UFC I find myself skipping to the co-main and main event
