He had fake ids and plates and lied to get past security. Taken together with the loaded weapon I think that's grounds for reasonable suspicion he intends to cause harm.

that is strange, but it doesn't really confirm anything. maybe he just goes everywhere with his guns in tow and forgot they were in there? i mean it's not smart to be carrying illegal shit in your car when you have fake plates that are basically just a red flag and a "bust me!" invitation for any cop that even looks at you going by. but these people aren't exactly known for their reasoning or rational thinking.

i mean obviously theyre gonna be tapping in to all of his calls and texts and online activity along with anybody who he's been in contact lately just to see if there's any dots to connect, but for now i'm skeptical of it. it just comes off as some dumbass doing dumbass shit.

It doesn't need to confirm anything. For law enforcement it's reasonable to suspect it until it goes to court and therefore isn't really indicative of any serious issue with Bianco saying so.

I don't know their guidelines for the making public statements but "because he says he's a Trump supporter" doesn't seem like a good enough reason to take his word that he intended no harm to me.

I don't particularly disagree with you but there is 0 chance this person is getting anywhere near Trump with a Shotgun, which sort of makes the loaded Pistol look less out of place. The guy sounds like a grade A dumbass but I'm going to wait and see on whether he was actually trying to pull off an assassination.

Nothing to disagree with here. except for the implication that it's not serious just because anything nefarious had no chance of success. I'm only saying the accusation by the sheriff is reasonable given the circumstances and now it's up to the courts to decide the truth, not the sheriff or the public's opinion of him.

Whether it was an attempt to assassinate Trump is less clear.

The first shooter was a registered Republican in a heavily Trump leaning county but somehow that's on the Dems? Sure you can point to one $15 donation he made to a left wing PAC years ago but at best its unclear where Thomas Cook leaned but the preponderance of evidence suggests he was a right winger.

I'll believe that when I hear a plausible explanation for the multiple fake ids other than to use them to try to elude capture/leave the country after committing a serious crime. And I feel I should add that I mean that. I'm fine with the idea such an explanation may exist but heretofore I have yet to hear it.

I don't care if he's some sort of known personality. People go full tilt loony all the time in your country. When the evidence points one way and background information points another way, which way should law enforcement lean?

Another thought that comes to mind just now--why was he let out on bail after being found with a mitt-full of fake ids in the first place? It's all pretty crazy to me. I guess if you're going to take a crack at Trump do it in deep MAGA country and say you're one of them. I would like to know how far back in his social media feeds this guy's public support for Trump goes.

I have no care for what happens to this tool but there are a lot of curious elements to the story.
