RIP SUNFISH

RIP

I liked his sense of humor, I remember I got into an argument with him about Danny Jacobs and he flew off the handle. But I always liked him, his weird jokes used to crack me up. RIP. Forever young.

Terrible. I used to be a fairly active poster on these forums and on nobs boxing. Tried to access the old nobs forums just now to no avail. When I was struggling with alcohol issues a few years back me and Sunfish exchanged a couple of messages back and forth about it. He was a really good dude. RIP.

Just got back on here a week or two ago after not being on much since a bit of surgery a few months back (nothing that serious). Had no idea about this until today. Idc if it's late, I need to say my piece.

I've known Sun on here for many years, he had a good heart, he was one of a kind and we had some fun times shooting the shit together over the years. This shit makes me sick, he was just a young guy.

Sun was a unique type of dude. If you knew Sunfish then you know what I'm talking about, lol. Doug Stanhope once said "kick it like you kick it and fuck em if they don't like it." Sun embodied that sentiment while still being a genuinely caring person at the same time. We pm'd each other several times over the years, in particular I'll always remember one time when he messaged me and left a very kind, heartfelt message after I mentioned an illness in my family awhile back. Dude had a good heart.

Rest In Peace, Sun. This place isn't the same without you. I will make sure that no one ever forgets Da Sex meme, that will live on forever. Thanks for the times, mate.

I just wanted to bump this b/c Idk what is beyond life, but if you see this, just wanted to let you know that we haven't forgot and we still miss you, Sun. Da Sex will be forever. Love you, ya weird lovable bastard.

I’ll drink another round for this fine fellow.

I’d say I’d drink another round but that’s not what ‘fish would want me to do. So here’s a glass of water for ya, bud.

I hadn't been on the forum long, but one of the first posters I connected with was Sunfish, real great guy and a good boxing knowledge. Was saddened to hear he passed.

I miss when Chris would call me at work and start going on and on about nothing.

My coworker would say “there’s some weird sounding British guy for you on the phone”.

He called me often too if was always at 3 am

Seriously?
Pretty cool.

He'd call me at random times... I'd pick up the phone and he would already be midway through a thought.

Yeah pretty sure......Clive Owen from Darlington in the UK.

Knew his son died a couple of years back but never put 2+2 together before. Think he might have even come to our office before with his dad.

Yup, Darlington was his hometown. I think he said there's some train engine structure there

It's a grim little town.....had some good night's out there at the same time.

Probably George Stephenson's Rocket......one of the first steam engines.
