RIP Quincy Jones

RIP Rashida's dad

So it's all rumors?
Well, I don't want to get sued for libel, so I'm just going to say I've seen people directly claiming Quincy had done that.

Legally if I say it, it'll be "hearsay". Quite a bit more substantial than rumours.

Pac had some weird quote that he rebuffed Quincy but I never saw where the source of it was so it may have been fake.

MJ I could believe because MJ grew up familiar with what was expected of young proteges. Some of the old interviews of both sitting side by side are creepy af. But that would have been nothing compared to what Q was rumored to have done to a 12 year old Tevin Campbell.

Tupac, before he became a "thug":

MJ was a product of such tragedy, imho.
Extremely talented, but so broken at the same time.

It cannot be overstated everything Quincy contributed to the music industry. If you liked music and television he was likely apart of your life in one way or another. He made the themes for Austin Powers, Sanford and Son and Fresh Prince of Bel Air (original with Will Smith) along with others. He produced some of the best albums of all time and Michael Jackson owes much of the success of his career to Quincy. I know many won't know but his album "The Dude" is good. It doesn't get a ton of love but it still holds up today.
Yeah.

He is a behind the scenes guy so likely he won't get the credit for all he did, but that man had a magic touch, so so so much music he produced was wildly successful and deeply culturally impacted the world.

He produced jazz and motown with badasses like Frank Sinatra & Count Basie, and my personal favorite jazz artist, Ella Fitzgerald.

produced huge hit "It's My Party (and I'll cry if I want to)"

Wrote TV themes for Sampson and Son, Cosby Show ... songs heard countless times by billions of people for decades.

Not to mention Michael Jackson's Off The Wall (20millon copies sold) , Thriller (65m) and Bad (45m)
Putting him on a VERY short list of people who produced multiple DIAMOND records
(10MIL+ Certified album sales)

As a musician myself, can't overstate.the respect for how he succeeded at a high level in so many different genres over such a LONG time period.

This dude played one of the best roles of his life by becoming his character from Juice. He was a light in his loafers young drama club kid. Then a background dancer for DU. Then became thug life Pac. But Pac really BECAME that life and I am sure a lot of it was to hide that deep down he was a bisexual drama kid. I am not sure Quincy hid his zestyness.

yup, a lot of people have said that Pac mixed the Juice character up for real life and it got him killed. He was the son of a black panther though and had a brilliant mind for social critique, such a waste. And what ever happened to that woman, it was a stupid situation for him to be in which left him open to being rescued by people who just drug him down further.

MJ was the biggest and one of the greatest entertainers to ever live. I've been analyzing a lot of evidence and although I didn't want to believe it, I think he was most likely a molestor and as with most molestors, he most likely got that way from other molestors. Lots of pieces fit into a puzzle but as yet not smoking guns so it's just a lot of talk, but I think some of these boys are telling some truth.

I never heard Pac was bi, the interests in drama/theater and pics of his leotard of course will be enough for some people. There were rumors that he was raped in prison but that's not what I'd call bi.

The quote on Quincy has been on so many sites over the years but I have never ever found where the hell it came from so I kinda don't give it credibility. And why would Quincy be making moves on a guy trying to date his daughter? But, sickies aren't known for having good boundaries, that's what makes them sick.

He had an epic life, no doubt about it, very intersting guy. Seemed destined to just become great, and also to meet cultural figures all throughout his life, damn near right from the start. He and Ray Charles knew each other as teens, he met Malcolm X when no one knew who either was and pretty much had stories galore.

One of his favorite quotes was one that Frank Sinatra gave him, "Q, live every day like your last and someday you'll be right".

I think on the day of his death it's more appropriate to deal with facts than hearsay. You simply don't know. You could be just slandering an innocent man who passed away.

Nah, I disagree.
I believe he did those things.
The whole entertainment/showbiz industry is built on this.

He couldn't have "achieved those heights" without being a part of their "elite p3do" ring participation.

Over on a mainly black site I go to they never spare anyone. They tore up James Earl Jones and they aren't treating Q a lot better. There's a wide mix though because people who met him at some event are posting how nice he was and how well he treated them. But, ya, I think it's decent to give it some time before tearing people up. How much time? I don't know, just time. In fact, that's the reason I stopped being a fan of Q's. The day after and the week after MJ died he was tearing him apart in a way he never, ever did when he was alive. The reason was, I believe, that MJ left Q as a producer, but he never said anything that critical when MJ was alive and was all lovey dovey when I saw them talking on Oprah, by phone. Quincy: "I love you"; MJ "I love you more".

I am convinced the whole "industry" is ruled by a ring of s3x p3rverts. It takes celebrities' participation and silence to make it to the top. All of them are in it. And producers are the worst, as they pull the strings behind the curtains.

Why should we give any of them any grace period?

P.s. lately I can't even watch many films as I look at the characters and all I can see are "Moe Lesters".

wouldn't say you should, but I think it's kinda cold right after dude dies. Just for myself.

I've never liked gatekeepers of any kind and it's personal with me because they fucked up every possibility for a break I could ever have, and almost always because I wouldn't kow tow to them, not because I didn't have enough of what it took. So, go ahead, I won't stop you. I just think it's kinda civilized to give guys a bit of time.

With MJ, I'm just now facing the fact that he probably was a serial child molestor. It took me all these years before I wanted to see things and was willing to really dig. And I still think he had more redeeming qualities than the diddy's and cosby's. I kinda feel for the brainwashed MJ fans who are cultlike in their devotion, I've never been like that but I did go through a long time when i just did not really want to face the facts. Again, 15 years. There's no rush when someone dies, they won't be doing anything else to anyone.

Nah, fuck that and fuck them.
If they did those things, there's no excuse or grace period.

Evil must be called out and stopped wherever, WHENEVER!!!
