No, there is copious evidence that the police force has behaved inappropriately, even aside from the trigger incident (arresting journalists for no reason, trying to get people to stop recording what's going on, pointing guns at peaceful demonstrators, etc.). It's funny how the people who screech that any gov't program that benefits the poor is tyranny become apologists for actual tyranny.

if this guy had his hands up and was 20 feet away like the eye witnesses say and the cop still shot him, the cop is in the wrong. regardless of what happened prior to that, the cops life is not in danger and deadly force is not warranted.

I agree that's the crux of it.

Cops don't start firing at suspects they are chasing unless they are clearly armed.

I heard on a local radio show that they were headed to one of the boy's grandmother's house and were actually either in her yard on driveway when the cop confronted them. I guess they assumed since they were almost to the house that things weren't a problem.
