Paddy Power opened Conceicao -120, the other guy +100. Then a lot of money went in on the other guy, moved their line, which everyone else copied. I seriously wonder if the line was originally moved by people hedging their Conceicao futures and there's not enough interest in the market to move the lines back. Which is super irritating if true!
 
Mens 400m hurdles is so open no one dominant and every race someone and it can be someone good messes up their stride pattern. Put the two together and its one of the harder races to predict.

Ive taken copello @ +250 as he looked the most in control in the heats. He was +1000 a month ago forgot to bet him damn it. But whyte the jamaican is +700 which is great odds so ive taken him too! Also taken koech to medal @ +400.

Im on dafne over 200m but i had to stab torie bowie 100m silver medalist @ +500. Elaine thompson didnt look great in heat so im hoping she may be a bit tired but more than likely she just took it really easy and i guess after winning gold over 100m that might have been a race just to reset mentally. Nevertheless +500 has value.

I thought the exact same thing. I think that's what happened. Makes more sense than anything else I can think of.

That -160 for him to win the 100 and 200 was like stealing.
 
Good 400m race there, lost out on Felix but +125 was a good price. Hedged some on Miller +175 after the semi-final.
 
Rudisha winning means i have two parlays now that bolt winning 200m will close. Could be a third one i need bolt to close if kovacs wins mens shot.

Hit clayton murphy to medal in 800m @ +800 but gave half of those winnings back when felix didnt win 400m.
 
laura trott to win the omnium seems like good acca material, she's 1.2 ish but she's been so dominant so far even in her weakest events of the competition. hammer just doesn't have the pace to outsprint trott at all, and she seamingly displayed pretty bad IQ in the elimination race by sprinting from the back on each sprint lap. she was expected to beat trott in the pursuit also but failed there. she looks like her goose is cooked and there's not really anyone else who looks capable of challenging so far.
 
Some better odds now to hedge Conceicao, Oumiha is -105 with Marathon, -122 with 188Bet, -125 with Bet365.
 
Value in womens 400m hurdles. Muhammed is rightful fav @ +100 but second favourite is +500 muhammed is defo not a lock so some real value on some of the dogs here. I like spencer @ +1000 loads of value there. Hejnova has been out of sorts this year but she looked good in her heat so if she is anywhere near her best she is a serious threat. Im just not sure if she is close to her best but defo worth a punt @ +500.

Got mcleod in mens 110m hurdles @ -131 on betfair exchange. Unpredictable event as mcleod showed in his two races before the olympics by not finishing! But long as he finishes he should win and he looked great in his heat didnt clip a hurdle. Took pozzi to win a medal @ +1000 line way off. Bascou is 4th fav and pozzi would have beat him in their heat if he didnt clip last couple of hurdles. If he has a clean race he could defo nick bronze. Ash to medal @ +200 looks decent. Hes so powerful he clipped a few hurdles but literally ran through them.

Edit: just seen pozzi has a tough semi with ash and ortega tho.

becky james just knocked out the defending world champion in the cycling women's sprint she was already the favorite but it's a great result for her that she didn't have to go to a 3rd and deciding race. her price just shortened to 1.5 ish but could be some value still. im just going to try and trade out at a slightly lower price for now.
 
Looks like there's more value to be had on a hedge if you haven't done so yet guys. Some books are even listing Conceicao as the favourite as of now.

didn't see the fight but all the commentators gave it to conlan, john inverdale went on pc principal mode as he apologised for the suggestion that the judges were corrupt, what a nob. I guess we'll see conlan in pro boxing from now on according the the coms.
