The cooked food is great... but trying going to the chip aisle.... no doritos, no tostidos, no fritos... literally no chips that end "os". Just a lot of weird brands you've never heard of...

Whole Foods has a quality meat department. I never go there though, especially since they sold out to Amazon. We have a local alternative called Olivers and they mark everything that is made locally so I try to support that.

True.. but when you want them I don't want to have to get them on some underground black market. Whole Foods does have a solid meat dept but HEB does too. They don't have a whole foods near me but the food court area was awesome. Love all their prepared foods

Never had the pecan coffee. Those tortillas doe. Awesome. And the mi-tienda salsas are legit. Now imma gonna have to run over to HEB today. It's hard to beat Texas with HEB and Buc-ees.... if ya know ya know.

And Buc-ee's starts new hires out at $17/hr...

An amazing newbie job for teenagers. Hard to beat that anywhere. They don't get enough credit for that

Never had their breakfast tacos. Only been there lunchtime or beyond. Now I'm curious. Yeah, they are a good Texas chain. Didn't know 17/hr. I got around that for my first job in science at MD Anderson and I had my masters haha.

Maybe its different by the store location.

But the two Buc-ee's near me, the small one in League City and the 45 in Texas City starts at $17/hr.

And if you work the night shift, it's $2 extra per hour. Not a bad part time gig.
