I've watched that fight with and without commentary and on slow-mo. You can give him 2 rounds at best. Most of his shots were blocked, not flush, didn't land. The commentary and arena have a tremendous influence on how people score a fight. When the unlikely challenger has a modicum of success people just try to score it in their favor to get the underdog feeling. Can't blame them. That's a bit ridiculous. Yes, that trend happens, (I first started mentioning it with JDS-Stipe), but it's not the case here. I've never given a shit about Reyes and I don't understand the Santos uproar (a fight where I think that trend might actually apply) but Reyes 1, 2, 3 is just correct judging. He should have won the belt, then dropped it to Jan and we'd still have the same championship situation we have today. Only difference would be that Crash Bandicoot shaped fool would get to call himself a former champ, which is never gonna happen now, with a descent that would make Garbrandt blush
What irks me about Reyes is that if he was who many proclaimed him to be then the "injustice" he got after the Jones fight would have been righted in the Jan fight.
