Jones didn't even understand how he won lol.
Watch the post fight interview. He's scrambling to understand what just happened, and starts to think he won squarely due to dominating the 5th round, and that he may have lost 1,2,3. Joe specifically asks him if he felt he was possibly behind on points from losing 1,2,3, heading into the 4th round, and Jon says "yeah...."
This line of thinking only makes sense if Jones retained the belt, via draw 47-47, with Jones scoring 10-8 in the 5th... Which did not happen.
One of the judges even scored it 4-1 for Jon, which is called out and discussed at length after Reyes is done talking. The announce team calls for this judge to lose his job lol.
The crowd raining downs boos was insane, as was the crowd cheering for Reyes when he was on the mic. It was obvious to the majority who won.
When your champ can't find the math needed to justify the win, thinks he may have lost the first three rounds, only sees a victory coming from a non-existent 10-8, the majority of fans felt Reyes won, the majority of MMA media outlets felt Reyes won, the majority of the arena that saw it live thought Reyes won, and you close the card out with the announce team calling for judges to be fired.... then maybe, just maybe Reyes actually won.
