Rewatching Ortiz-Couture

Titi and his flaming shorts always got destroyed whenever he fought any top guys of that era....Titi was really good and beating undersized opponents and old man Ken Roidrock.

bullshit.

Tito beat some of the best of that era and in the time that he competed. Mezger, Wanderlei, Matyushenko ( verry solid win ), Griffin ( should have gotten the nod in their last fight aswell ) and Belfort. Pride had the better division by far but i have no doubts that a Prime Tito would have done well over there aswell.

even in the twilight of his career he has some quality wins. Bader and Shlemenko are verry decent wins. 1 a former ( altho MW ) and the other a current Bellator champion.

The ref messed up the fight. Randy tapped out to tito's leglock
The tap was really obvious. One of the worst referee mistakes in history, IMO.

Tito is a legit legend, I'd have to take that side of the argument that is going on in here. Chuck was fighting the tougher competition during Tito's reign but Tito still beat some good guys, he beat Wanderlei fucking Silva for crying out loud, a rough customer at any stage of his career, and Tito beat him in Japan if I'm not mistaken. To add to those already mentioned Evan Tanner was on a roll in the LHW division when Tito destroyed him.

He beat Wanderlei, Vitor, Mezger, Forrest, and drew with Evans. Tito was alright.
But got COMPLETELY dominated/wrecked by Randy and Chuck.

If he had fought either of them when he was schedule to, he would have been a one and done guy.

Just think if Titi fought Rampage, Shogun, Lil Nog and Arona in those days.

He would have had multiple cracked skulls.

please watch your mouth and show some respect for fighters like Mezger and Yuki Kondo.
Kondo was way undersized to be fighting Ortiz and his mammoth noggin.

Metzer choked out Tito in the first fight but none of the Lion's Den guys ever could stop a takedown to save their lives.

OK settle down there guy I was talking about during his title run. Kondo was decent but Matyushenko was a better win than Yuki. And even though he's a middleweight the Tanner slam is so legendary (RIP). Basically what I'm getting at is Tito actually had an extremely dominant title run.
