Revised powerlifting classification chart

Well something got deleted. What happened ?

Seeing those numbers makes me feel like a pussy.

This is right in line with your far less than masculine training goals. BTW, that dipshit from the Biggest Loser is now drinking the kool-aid.

what a story that will make for them..

This almost makes me want to try and total elite by year's end. Just to say I've done it. Only need about 100 more #. Seems do able considering I don't really bench.

That being said... maybe it is just a little light??

Especially the women's. That's silly. My 69kg could easily total "elite" in no time.

What class would you be in? 198?

My goal is to get there hopefully in a year, maybe year and a half, have to see how the next 6 months go, I'm probably 230 pounds away or so, from the old number that is

Yeah, elite should mean something. So should things like American and World record. Not any more, really.

Sucks. When I was first coming up, it was simple. If you wanted a shot at going to IPF worlds, you lifted USPF, and testing was, well, no better than other countries. If you wanted to lift (mostly) drug free you competed ADFPA (now usapl). If you felt like walking onto the platform with a needle sticking out of your ass, you lifted APF. And locally, everybody knew everybody, and would show up at the same meets. Classifications were still based on the early AAU classifications, but with the gear being used in the APF, no one outside the APF considered them valid for everybody else.

You pretty much knew where you stood. Then Challiet formed the IPA, and things really started to go in the shitter. The APF and IPA began to compete for biggest numbers, and standards were, well, going to call it here.

fuck

yeah i agree. my goal was elite this year, but im still going for 1298...
