Let me correct that for you. Being an inexperienced drag racer at his age and getting behind the wheel of something like that is a terrible idea.

I know plenty of guys older than Randy racing way faster stuff but theyve been doing it forever. The car he was racing looked like a shortened wheelbase car which right out of the gate is a disaster.

Sounds like he was actually getting his licensing passes in. Still not something you do in a car like that. There are many different levels of licensing for drag racing. He should have started off on a much slower car.
