People’s are beginning to understand that watching guys whom are literally the same stature of teenage boy isn’t cutting it anymore.

Bring back LHW, sign loads of them, if the suck they can go up or drop a class, 205 the best division up until Jones and the second time he cleaned it out.

Works for boxing for some reason. People love their manlets there. But yeah they need to do something about these heavier divisions. Lack of exciting matches.

It doesn't matter if majority of their fans are from a place that has a subscription model vs PPV model.

Porier's and Max's fans are from the states, the exact audience for PPVs.

I’d say a good percentage of their fans are from the states, but they are both also big in Europe for example and max has a pretty big base in Asia too. But I agree with the overall discussion. The ppv model is bad especially in the streaming era. They should have done away with it a few years ago.

Topuria better fight someone like Paddy. He just needs opportunity for something to build up. Sad he not selling PPVs, I thought for sure he'd be above what Jones used to sell.

I think Conor is just more marketable like Rousey was for their fight style that just marches forward looking for 1st round finish. Also some drama and trash talk helps.

Topuria looked way more aggressive against Olivera, but typically he's a guy who slowly sets up the KO. I feel like he finally broke through for being a draw after that fight.

definitely not. Conor did more. Top had 3.5 big fits. Conor did way more. Test of time. Ilia is on a good path. As a atlhete Conor is ahead. Conor also wouldn´t have ducked Arman.

I'm sure if you find a couple of fighters willing to run full-speed in a straight line at Ilia's fist, undefended, and to continuously circle into Ilia's power shots, undefended, he'll manage a couple of spectacular squash KOs.

Of course if you don't think that Ilia's KOs are already much more impressive than Conor's then I'm not sure what's going to convince you.

If you aren’t going to pay more to attract big boys who have other options you have to let guys take any substance they want. That’s how you kill HW & LHW. most guys dont walk around in those weight classes. So you gotta pay more for those that do or let the not as naturally big/lean whatever get their un-naturally. Pick atleast one (preferably both) and commit to it. And within 5 years LHW & HW will be exciting again

Yeah, now we have the Apex sausage grinder where they process all that elite talent, sadly I think the DWCS is alright for producing anything but HW/LHW prospects, let’s hope the Jones shit show helped to refocus the promoters on the big guys. If DBX and BKFC can find them bottom barrels big guys, then the UFC needs to follow suit.
