Remember me....Jens Pulver

hate to be the guy that goes there.. but extremely overrated and was washed up by 30

all he really has is that 3 fight win steak where he beat Uno, Hallman, and Penn(which at the time was a big big thing)

career went downhill big time after being KO'd by Gomi.. never really adjusted/adapted to beginning of modern era after making comeback

not HOF material IMO

You also have to put all of his fights into context. He was often fighting at a significant size disadvantage. If he started fighting now he'd probably be a 135er or 125er.

Did you ever watch. his fight with Ralph (I think it was him, Carlsons boy ) hr basically hung to the cage the entire fight in fear of going to the ground, then celebrated the fact it was a draw

This one?

I recall him being a Jeet Kune Do advocate back then. (it didn't work against Jen's Boxing)

I met him back when he and John Perretti were still buddies. After they got underneath each others skin and split he tried to have his own fight show, I forget the name. After that he mingled with the new UFC owners.

"On the ground again!...I've been beat on my whole life, this is nothing." That post fight quote won me over for Jens, then learning what he went through will melt your heart for abused children. He should be in the UFC HOF.

I thought my memory was failing me the 1st 3 minutes where decent, then the cage holding started, also Carlson Jnrs hair is amazing

Great fighter, one of the best during the early Zuffa years.

If anyone can find it, check out Jens Pulver: Driven. Pretty good Documentary on his life.

i have it on DVD. (:

Met Jens at the UFC 136 expo.

He was kinda weird like "why is this guy talking to me" because I recognized him.

Saw him when I was waiting to talk to Renzo and a guy was asking him "why did you stop fighting" and he told him "I didn't. I just fought" and the guy was like "ah. okay".

The 3rd time I saw him I told him "congrats on the win". It wasn't a big win but he had been on a losing streak so it was a good start.

No dude he probably won't be in the UFC Hall of Fame they're still mad at him because he turned down that commentary job. in fact that's the reason they cut him. People forget he was cut months after that loss to that Jiu-Jitsu dude.
Pretty much the same thing that happened to Frank Shamrock.

People don't even know who GSP these days and it's only been a few years so Jens will never get the love he deserves.

UFC really does some legends dirty.

I met Jens literally a couple hours after getting wrecked by BJ in the second fight. The guy is just a real genuine dude. Even after losing he was willing to hang out for a few minutes and talk.
