Everyone in ONE wants to be the first to have the Triple Champ feat on their resume. Being double champ just isn't as impressive as it was five years ago. I figure Malykhin was RDR's ticket to a HW championship fight. Unfortunately, the size differential is too big for any MMA fighter to overcome in a major MMA org.I like Reinier but fucking hell that was a wakeup call. There's weight classes for a reason. He had no business attempting to go up to HW against a juggernaut like Malykhin. No business whatsoever.

Yeah. I honestly think him or his camp neglected the fact that Anatoly was a national level wrestler in Russia. I think they either didn’t account for that or were overconfident in RDR’s ability to take him down. Also had a God-awful gameplan and no Plan B. I honestly didn't see a path to victory in the fight.
He didn't. They fought for the LHW title which he was the defending champion.I like Reinier but fucking hell that was a wakeup call. There's weight classes for a reason. He had no business attempting to go up to HW against a juggernaut like Malykhin. No business whatsoever.
I got that “ohh shit” moment aswell watching from home lolThere was kind of an “ohh shit” moment when RDR realised he couldn’t take Anatoly down and just kinda froze.
