Sponsorship used to be a big part of their total income. Now it's not.

These professional athletes are forced to dawn Reeboks logo on every piece of clothing come fight week for what? For $2500? For $5000? They've thrown away all their prior relationships they had with other sponsors and they've thrown away all existing identity established through their attire.

Do a bit of research on average/median incomes for pro-athletes/pro-fighters. Those Reebok payouts are a portion of their take-home income and are more than reasonable, given what we know on the matter. (I shared links above in a previous post.)
