petchsomjit jitmuangnon vs. petchsommai sor.sommai 4 @114.5 as main event for next saturday's suekjaomuaythai at siam omnoi. petchsommai has won twice out of the previous three times.

There's some restrictions on clinch now?

definitely noticeable. just read that they have modified the rules as part of the "new normal" so that if they are stalling or no weapons are thrown in the clinch, the referee can break it up. personally, i am a fan of clinching and like to see the fighters work so this is a bit disappointing but it is what it is.

Kiewpayak is just rocketing through the weight classes. I wonder if he will be in the 70kg pool one day.

the wan kingthong show at rangist on july 9th and the muaymanwansuk event on the 10th will include bouts with younger fighters including 12-13 year olds. they provide extra income for their families by fighting but because of the economic downturn, events cancelled and promoters disappeared. boatis hoping that this will help them out.

rajadamnern will begin hosting events again and will be streaming every wednesday and thursday starting next week on july 15th with the sor.sommai show (main event: kaona pk vs. yodlekphet).

there has been talks of seksan fighting artem lobov in ireland in bare knuckle muay thai. given the current travel restrictions and global pandemic, it will probably not happen, at least this year.

tanupetch wor.sungprapai stepped in as last minute replacement for deksada who fell ill. deksada posted that he trained for more than a month after the 4 month layoff and wanted to fight badly to make money. he apologized to boat and the petchyindee team but as much as he wants to force himself to, his body just cramped up and he couldn't make it into the ring.

Kulabdam seems to be too predictable...
I don't think he is really getting the proper boxing coaching. Just throwing him in where ever they think they can make money. There is more to boxing than being a naturally heavy puncher.

highlight of today’s main event on channel 7: wanchalong pk vs. seusat paeminburi

another angle of the final exchange:

chang muaythai kiatpetch superfight on amarin tv:
(jaosueayai overcame some heavy betting odds against him and got the win)

Wanchalong took a serious beating. Interesting watching these fights with virtually no clinching makes it a lot harder for a fighter to stall.

agreed. i am interested to see how clinch-heavy fighters will adjust their strategy.

rungkit said to be kaewkangwan priwwayo's next opponent. kaewkangwan is fighting this week on the 17th on the true4u muaymanwansuk show.

suesat paeminburi ready to defend his channel 7 title...especially against chokdee pksaenchai. suesat basically said "send location"

wanchalong is sad with the outcome yesterday. he will continue to fight until he can't. jomhod moopingaroijungboie (eminentair) has sent encouragement to his friend to cheer him up.

and...one championship july 31st card line up:

Suprised littewada vs chujaroen fell through. Would of been a much easier fight for littewada with no clinching.
Suaset vs chokdee should be a good fight. Hope Suaset wins. I like to see fighters from smaller gyms beat fighters from bigger more powerful gyms.

I actually hope this no clinching stays for a month or two to see if clinch fighters can adjust and if it leads to more exciting fights.
