Takeru fights a can, or K-1 puts on a show with random bums, and you guys get way more into it than the biggest Muay Thai fights. This thread is proof.

You guys just hang at the surface level of Muay Thai but have never peeled back a few layers. There are no crossover MMA people interested in Muay Thai, so neither are you. That's how this works.

Lol, you realize these Japanese fights have maybe a dozen English speakers watching them right? The events themselves are basically held in <5K stadiums and barely scrapping to make a name for themselves. Takeru lives in a single studio apartment. QF2: Urabe Koya (Former K-1 Japan 60kg Champion) vs Gonnapar Weerasakrek (WPMF Super LW Champion)
QF3: Sasaki Daizo (Krush 63kg Champion) vs Wei Rui (WLF 63kg champion)
QF4: Taniyama Toshiki (WKA & WBKF Super LW Champion) vs Christian Spectu (SuperKombat 63.5kg Champion)

Why do they match up Gonnapar and Koya in the first round though? Normally they give the champ a relatively easy first round fight.

Koya's moving up to a new weight so he's not a defending champion. Takeru was given Whelan-who was resume wise the most impressive guy in his tournament-for the first round of his tournament.

No info on KHAOS yet besides the fact that it will be a new brand held in Shinjuku FACE (600 people) over five events next year. Given that the stated concept is 'Building something new out of nothing" and the smaller arena, I would imagine that its will be a Japanese rookie event like you suggest.

I would imagine something weird is gonna happen like Taiga beating Urabe up for 3 rounds only to be disqualified after an illegal strike. Mostly since Hirotaka seems cursed to keep losing fights only to magically retain the belt.
