MT/KB Japan Recent fights/results/news from Japan II

Found a full vid of Noiri vs Slimani.

After a pretty tough 2 years vs. top talent, good to see pyramid head beat up on a scrub once in a while.

My body is ready.

Jienotsu becoming the lineal Rajadamnern welterweight champ would be the greatest day in muay thai history.

Jay has experience with these things. He can tell me, if I'm doing it right.

Not to fiddle with technicalities, but is T-98 actually the lineal WW Raja champ? He's technically champ now, but I would assume that a past titleholder has lost non-title fights or given up the belt sometime in the past.

That said, even if Jienotsu did that it would still not measure up to the time he 4 second KO'd the #2 MMA lightweight.

Pretty sure he isn't. Just posted to trigger Coca.

He is actually the super WW champ iirc. The last Raja champ at that weight was Aikchanachai, who vacated. Its pretty much impossible to think of linear stadium champs though. The title is often fought for by fighters who are not the best, people move up and down in weight a lot, they do that thing where the underdog will have to weigh a pound or two less sometimes, they could lose in a venue besides Raja, etc.

We'll learn about people IF Nagashima wins this fight. Who makes a big deal out of it. If the other guy wins nobody will care.

Can't blame them. Wanchalong is a huge favorite in this fight. It's expected he wins.

are they going to score sweeps, throws, and trips on this knockout show? What the hell is the scoring criteria like? is it scored like thai mt , international mt. or k1+ elbows?

First show so nobody's sure, but I'd assume Japanese KB criteria (i.e. overweight punching and overall aggression, no credence to sweeps and dumps beyond style points)

if that is the case i would probably favor tenshin as he has the size and rule advantage. The one thing i have learned about thai's fighting abroad is they are usually a little to arrogant and do not bother even asking about the rules or scoring ahead of time to properly prepare
