Reasons why Jon popped (from a PED user)

Profesional darts players use beta blockers and othjer medication that calm you.
It always bothers me that all the best darts players are 60 year old white men. There's gotta be something going on there medically.

As far as steroids go, I think it's a very different subject when you're dealing with a sport like MMA where you're punching and kicking another person in the face. Also, it seems there's a very negative synergistic relationship between steroid use and concussions, where one magnifies the health problems of the other. See: all the dead pro wrestlers.

The eyeball test is very real if you've ever done even a lit bit of bodybuilding or lifting. It's annoying how quickly people will say how a certain body can be obtained naturally.

Yes. If you are genetically gifted, a freak athlete and very motivated then you might achieve a certain look but those people are rare. Everyone else needs help to get there.

There are two big names left in the UFC who WILL pop under USADA. It's just a matter of time.

Lot of pro wrasslers are alky's or abuse opioids, or muscle relaxants

"As Sonnen said - if you're in this world the moment the guy takes his shirt off - you know whats up."

saying something like this doesn't help your cause

@Coolidge

Way to ruin what could have been a really good thread because you're a stubborn dork

"That being said - there is not one top athlete in the world that is clean. Everybody is looking for an edge."

That's simply untrue.

I know people (men and women) who play pro sports that aren't into PEDs.

But hey, you're a bodybuilder...NOT an athlete, so what would you know?

...not much at all.

Not EVERY pro athlete is a cheater.

Period.
You think because you know them they'll just confess that they're a cheater? OP has a much better claim than "I know a guy who never confessed to me that he cheated to earn his success" . And why the passive aggressive insult to TS? The guy is just being honest about himself and his educated opinion?

You said 'not true' to a direct quote from Merriam-Webster.

"Synonymsattestation, confirmation, corroboration, documentation, proof, substantiation, testament, testimonial, testimony, validation, voucher, witness" - Merriam-Webster

My claim: Proof and evidence are synonymous.

Yes, it's true. They're not lying.

They're going at the TS and his opinions like he posted something on PubMed.

"That being said - there is not one top athlete in the world that is clean. Everybody is looking for an edge."

Don't throw away your credibility with ridiculous hyperbole like this. Common sense would tell you that out of the thousands of top athletes in the world at least some of them are competing clean.

I actually think common sense says the opposite. At that level of competition, it is impossible for the human body to train the amount needed to stay elite, and only the guys who can recover faster, or come in with just a little edge will come out on top. The difference in fractions of a second in sprinting for example, comes down to the extra help.....

They're going at him like he accused their moms of using PEDs to support her cheating on their dads, and that it's likely they're not even being raised my their biological father

Coolidge probably thought Uberreem was natty too. I dunno how many idiots posted here years ago, saying its possible to gain over 50lbs of muscle, but still do MMA training..

I think the financial incentive to cheat is too great for a lot of athletes. My buddy who owns a supplement store told me 5-6 years ago how big steroid use was in sports BJJ, and I thought he was crazy.

No, it doesn't.

Common sense says that you can not make absolute statements about what literally thousands of people are doing.

I've helped train people casually AND in lab settings.

That said, obviously there is cheating in pro sports, but again...it's not a pre-requisite.

Ironically, when I was in high school it was the naturally talented athletes that generally DID NOT cheat.

I don't smoke, I don't drink. Many people do. Smoking and drinking - zero good effects, thousands bad. People die of smoking. And they just do it for no reason.

I believe that if you use peds smart - you will only be healthier. How bad can something that repairs your muscle, bones and joints faster be?

Like I said. People KNOW smoking will take like 15 years of their life and they do it just for what? Nothing.
Certainly there are more PROs then CONs for 500mg os testosterone weekly.

And you have to know the difference between using and abusing.
Isn't gaining massive amounts of unnatural size bad for the heart?

Overeem went from being a lanky LHW to having the body of a PED using Heavyweight bodybuilder. The fact that I'm not foolish enough to think that all of the top athletes are cheating does not mean I must've believed Overeem was clean.
