Conor gassed with RDA’s replacement within 2:30 mins. RDA would’ve killed Conor. He wouldn’t have beat Conor
The Conor that got finished by Diaz and nearly lost a decision to him?
I seriously doubt that.
He had one a good outing against Eddie but being 1-3 at LW it seems doubtful he would have had anything for peak RDA.
Good points but Eddie, who was a pretty good wrestler, did try to take down Conor a few times and failed miserably. Maybe the stance and stylistic differences would make it a completely different fight, though--hard to say. I mean Conor KO'd Aldo in seconds and made Eddie look like an amateur but had fits with Nate Diaz...style match-ups matter.I think you're totally ignoring how the stances of the fighters changes this match up and RDA's kicks, cardio, great chin and wrestling/BJJ factors in.
Eddie being an orthodox fighter and being an aggressive brawler who doesn't mix in takedowns, kicks or the clinch much made Conor a bad match up for him. RDA is the opposite of that, he's a southpaw that pretty much every fight mixes up low kicks, takedowns, clinch fighting.
Khabib the GOAT ragdolled RDA in RDA's prime.
Makes you wonder.

At what weight class? Stylistically, Colby at 170 would be a much tougher fight for Khabib than any of his title defenses. People forget Colby-Usman #1 was very close until the 5th round KO and Colby-Usman #2 was a close fight as well. And Khabib doesn't have Usman's KO power.yet there’s a bunch of goofballs in another thread suggesting Colby would beat Khabib. LOL
Yeah I'm not really an rda fan but always felt bad for him that he missed out on that payday. If anyone deserves it, it's him.RDA deserved that payday. It's a shame he got hurt. His strength of schedule is ridiculous.
Based RDA. Anyone, anytime. One of the toughest schedules ever. One of the greatest LWs ever doing this to 2 of the top WWs of this era. All time P4P badass.
Nate's reputation for his chin is awfully high for someone who has been put down as many times as he has. I'd argue his recovery helps back up a meh chin.Objectively conors not the easiest matchup for rda either.
the first round he would have rda on the back foot where rda doesn’t excel.
Hes a accurate puncher and could catch rda in the mid range in the first couple rounds.
rdas chin is good but not diaz good, look at rdas record against heavy handed guys thats a large chunk of his loses is from big punchers.
The southpaw stance isn’t a huge factor that left hand was finding a home on dustin in all three fights.
And dustin is a much better boxer than rda especially off the back foot, rda has the leg kicks and wrestling but when conors fresh and pushing him back those kicks wont be easy to get off.
slightly favor rda but its not great matchup for him either objectively
Eddie is a gift match-up for a guy like Conor. He bites on almost every feint that comes his way, doesn't move his feet well, and doesn't set his shots up adequately to change the course of a fight. Incredibly underrated vet, but I was always surprised to see him get the belt.Good points but Eddie, who was a pretty good wrestler, did try to take down Conor a few times and failed miserably. Yeah but that was from weight cutting right? So when he was scheduled to fight Conor he got injured so he would have had to fight injured and let's say it was Conor in there instead of Eddie... RDA still would have been compromised. So there isn't really a time where RDA could have fought Conor and been at his best.I think you're also forgetting the fact that RDA passed out for a few minutes before the Alvarez fight yet still took it. I'm not trying to hate on Eddie who's career is stellar and will always be underrated on these boards due to that Conor blowout, but RDA was compromised. His grappling is top tier in his prime. It isn't as elite as some others but it was good enough.
I just feel like RDA is much better everywhere outside of power. Eddie wouldn't be able to keep up with RDA's pace imo.
