I am not entirely sure that I would even include Romero on Izzy's list. That fight was a farce. I am a Romero fan and I would give him a fair shot at either guy. I think Anderson would actually engage with Romero which is far more dangerous than Izzy's Kaleb Starnes strategy. That fight should be stricken from the memories of the fans who had to watch it and the record books. I am just glad that the ladies saved that card.
 
Finishing Whittaker is a much bigger feat than either Weidman or Silva has accomplished.

If Adesanya does it again? he is undoubtedly the MW goat.

Its close. Adesanya fought the better fighters but is not as flashy and doesnt have as many wins as a champ as Silva.
 
Adesanya clearly is a talented fighter, but he is not yet there with Anderson Silva. Ongoing, but not quite there yet. And Weidman in the same sentence is just laughable.
 
Honestly the Whitaker win is the most impressive out of all wins you just mentioned because Whitaker is a great fighter and was in his prime and Izzy made him look like a bum.

Still need a more wins to catch up to MW GOAT Silva but he clearly going to be either on that same tier as Anderson or just below
 
Weidman's resume isn't close to either of them.
 
If you’re going to mention Vettori you may as well put Leites in there, nevermind leaving out Belfort. Silva all the way.
 
I always hate comparing old champs from a different time in mma to the current mma climate. MMA is one of those sports that changing all the time.

Silva’s gets the nod because everyone he fought were steroid and TRT monkeys so naturally they would be deflated post USADA. Weidman was in a better era though fuck you fight me.
