Opinion Rate Donald Trump in effectiveness on getting what Trump wants

What? He had the most political power for an emperor in a while, he consolidated and centralized Japan under himself when it was splitting into fractions.
Ex Samurai's and shit ruled, he was a figurehead. Became emperor at 15.

Ghandi in charge? Maybe. Trump in charge? Ahhhh hahahahahahaha, LMAO... <{MingNope}>
Even Ghandi would make mistakes and fuck shit up, no matter how well intentioned. Plus half the population would be like “cow meat is awesome, also I want to party and get laid! This is bullshit!”.
That’s why democracy and TERM LIMITS beat the shit out of everything else, while still being really far from perfect.

I agree I was just pointing out that even under ideal circumstances Trump would be wholly inadequate.

I mean, he became President twice against all odds. I'd say it's pretty high.

Okay don’t call it a welfare state.

I want to get rid of SSI (social security income, not SSA)

I want to get rid of section 8

I want to end all SNAP benefits

I want to end Medicaid ( I don’t want it replaced, I want it gone ) no insurance? Too bad, find someone to help you, don’t have someone? Too bad.

The existence of these things to me mean a welfare state.

I am against all forms of social safety nets.
lol are you the actual Grinch?

Doesn’t matter to my point anyways. You want those things gone so bad that you are willing to hand absolute power over and potentially your own liberties and things you like to make sure it happens?

Yeah Trump is a narcissist but I’m aligned with him on 90% of policies, so why not.

He’s nowhere close to being a dictator in reality. He took a lot of power but nowhere close to dictator power status.
He’s actually very close. Did you miss the story earlier this year where his Supreme Court granted him precedence to pardon himself? He’s literally above the law now. That’s a fact that would make George Washington roll over in his grave

He won’t end up becoming one, but he’s laid the groundwork and set precedents for the next demagogue that comes along to pull it off. We are pretty much repeating Roman history right now.

I’m all fine for personal charity and donations. People should donate, do charitable acts and help others. But it can’t be through government, welfare from the state is a moral evil.

To the second part, it depends, Trump does not strike me as the type of dictator to kill his opponents and wage war against all citizen liberties. Some may lose a lot of liberties, but I think he’ll be okay as a dictator.

ITT: the type of bootlicker who thinks Homelander is the hero in "The Boys"

I think even the leftist extreme democrats have to admit, Trump is fast and effective at getting what he wants.

Whether you like him or hate him, he has accomplished a lot in his first year. He drastically changed the country and I know a lot of liberals think what Trump has implemented is bad for the country, so the question is framed differently.

How effective is Trump at accomplishing what he wants to accomplish?

I think he gets what he wants, he knows how to get what he wants and he gets it. Most effective president in the last 40 years.
Brave post indeed. you’ll get more hate than you bargained for, amigo.

I think its supposed to be a list of what he wants, not things he claimed, so #11 goes.

Based on your list he's batting .300 and working on a couple others. He might get 4 and 5 .

And no one can get #6 in 1 term. Doubling tax revenue without increased spending would take at least 10 years to pay it off
These are all things he said he was going to do. I’m assuming if he’s promising to do something then it’s something he wants to do

Very good. He always seems to win in the end, whether you like it or not. He's the strongest case for Divine Intervention in our lifetime. That bullet grazing the very tip of his ear 0.1 seconds after he turned his head... We all would've seen his head explode like a watermelon otherwise.

The greatest political comeback in history after losing 2020.
He was very good at getting young girls with his buddy Epstein

Bro are you kidding me with the second part? Trump has repeatedly tried to wipe his ass with the constitution and if you don’t believe me then you really are not paying are.

Let’s focus on the “okay as a dictator” though. Let’s say he is the best leader ever. You know what always follows a dictator? Another dictator. So let’s say Trump dies after 20 years as the best dictator ever. A power struggle ensues. AOC takes over. No she flops it and persecutes right wingers. Now the welfare state is an actual thing and not some weird nebulous idea that isn’t real but you’re mad about for some reason. Now she is stripping people of your income bracket of wealth. What’s yo stop her?

No one. No courts, no military. You handed control of the system over to a dictator for short term gains. Time to grow up and realize you might have to compromise and protecting your rights is the more important than what is politically expedient today

Trump cares more about money than approval ratings. His family has gotten hundreds of billions of dollars from the government already.

Why are you posting things that have nothing to do with the topic?
You as an American citizen are ok with his family getting billions of dollars from the government?

That might be the case but it's a word for a reason, even if at the end of the day being altruistic benefits your group, or you personally if your actions earn you an ally or a good reputation. People inherently have selfish traits but culture and religion teach you how to be a good person that sees the value in sacrifice. Wanting a malignant narcissist whose been a charlatan his entire life to become a dictator is epic delusion.

Another stupid false binary logical fallacy he is guilty of.

Greed and altruism aren't binary in people, it's a spectrum, much like honesty and dishonesty.

A drop of dishonesty or greed poisoning the overall well of a person is an often used tactic by very malicious people to put themselves on equal footing to much less malicious people to fool others and/or themselves.

Trump has lots of experience at this point in how to fight for what he wants done. Here in his second administration he seems to have an excellent team, working well to accomplish tasks. Trump seems to be getting much of what he wants done.

The first time around though, Trump wasn't as successful at getting what he wanted. He was knew to politics, and far to many people working for him were not loyal, on the same team, or competent. Some working for the first administration seemed to view Trump as a way to make money. The pay seemed to be good for bashing Trump sadly.

Trump was on the defensive the entirety of his first term from the Russian collusion thing. That was what was on TV for 4 years up until the pandemic. He couldn't get anything done.
