alien and aliens are a tie for me. First one for horror second for action. After that toss up. Would have liked a set up like avp Requiem but without the predators

The rest is poop, Aliens 3 was supposed to be set on earth, original movie poster was supposed to read "On earth everyone can hear you scream".

The engineers in Prometheus and Covenant are dog shit, this is coming from someone that collected the original Dark Horse comics as a kid.

Basically anything after Aliens is poop at best they could've done so much more with the Franchise!!!

No amount of CGI makes up for poor story telling......

This is the right answer, though I have Alien and Aliens basically tied. I like certain things about Alien better than Aliens, and I like certain things about Aliens better than Alien. But both are outstanding movies. Aliens is the perfect sequel to Alien.

The only thing that's ever lived up to the first two is the video game Alien: Isolation. What an absolutely fantastic game! Literal masterpiece.

After that, the rest are terrible.

Yeah, it's pretty much who gives a F after the first two.

The next four are all immensely flawed with somewhere between one good thing and a handful of good things about them.

Covenant is a piece of shit movie but I can watch everything Fassbender does as either character over again, and I can't think of anything any other character does that I would want to see again. Literally not one thing.

Prometheus looked good but at the expense of completely ruining the mythos of the franchise. The Space Jockey being a bald dude in a bony spacesuit is a fucking joke. Someone had to tell Ridley Scott to quit smoking crack. Fuck off Ridley, we all know it was a giant space elephant bio-merged with his spaceship. It was not Vin Diesel playing a flute to steer his spaceship.

Alien 3... The very thing James Cameron cited as a bad idea before following in its footsteps with Terminator: Dark Fate. The decent stuff that happened in Alien 3 was not worth the price paid to get there.

Alien: Resurrection. Hey why not get the guy that made Amelie to follow up James Cameron and David Fincher. Alien is the perfect forum for quirky French whimsical stuff, right?
