Question/Advice Ranked dead last.... trying not to go 0-10

I am going to give bare knuckle one shot. LIfes an adventure, i have burned away all the fears and insecurities i had in my life.

You should stop this it's spiralling downwards. Bareknuckle is no joke for your brain.

My advice is if you want a fight grappling is great for you. Hard on joints yes but better for your long term health and CTE risks.

Your body seems healthy and functional, so why not give BJJ or even Judo a try and compete in there. There are veteran categories with guys your age. It should satiate your desire for competing and proving yourself

Maybe my parents really felt strongly about how wild I was in the womb and decided I was a black belt in crazy, with the exclamation points included.

Nah, they let you keep your handle now. Probably too much BS with people talking crap on fighters records or loses they had so fighters just stopped posting. That’s just a guess though. I do remember when UFC fighters would post here and people would be such dicks to them.
Well. Without them online people are.dicks to them.

I hate grappeling, i havent done a round of BJJ or ground work ever. My eyes were always on bare knuckle, now the fight is much more simple. Every single fight i was paralized by fear of takedowns. This is what daddy wants

My instinct is to try and talk sense into people that are being destructive to themselves, but if they won't listen I just sit back and watch the train wreck.

How so ? Your last fight was kickboxing, not takedowns involved. It was a non factor.

I think you haven't trained with a team during all that time right ? Despite telling us you would. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I mean it's your life, do whatever you wish, I'm just giving advices based on the data you're sharing with us.

You fought MMA didn't go well, went to kickboxing didn't go well, now it's bareknuckle. Seems like you're hoping from one train to another in hope to find some magic in one of them.

If you hate grappling it's fine. But if you want to test your striking there are healthier ways to do this.

First get yourself set on one sport. In your case I'd say muay thai or kickboxing cause your only experience seems to be in there. Then get into a serious muay Thai gym. Train a few months. And then do some local tournaments with guys from your age, muay Thai in the US has a veteran division right ? In Europe we also have C class, B class and A class, and you slowly climb up, do you have that ?

You should fight amateur and local. And only if your coaches are giving you the green light. You have no business fighting at the pro level. People are only exploiting you there.

You will get much fairer fights, much longer fights, with way more back and forth and on an even ground skill wise.

That's what I did when I boxed, before my life changing injuries. I only fought in smokers, club vs club local tournament, and my end goal was to fight amateur at the regional level, once my coaches were ok with it.

I had no goal to fight in the amateur nationals - I was not good enough let's not kid myself - let alone at the pro level. Because I was - at the time - a 35 years old dad with shaky knees and I knew my limitations.

There is an Arab proverb that says "May God have mercy on a man who knows his limits". I try to live close to that.

Not sure you'll listen but what you seem to look for is more a spiritual experience than a fighting performance.

You'll find that if you join a healthy and family like martial arts community, aka a good gym. It just won't be an immediate dopamin rush of one night, but a delayed one for life.

Bare knuckle is a bad idea, think it trough again.

Best luck brother.

Can an outsider enter a Kyokushin tournament w/o being belted in that system? They are full contact, but afaik no takedowns and no kicks to the head.

I like taking huge dumps in elevators. Oh, and on escalators.

Thank you for kind words, I am becoming what i was intended to be. I have moved past my fears, i have accepted defeat, i have humbled myself to the realities of this world. I have found courage where none exsisted. I am I am I am

So, TS, do you have a combat bucket list? What are the last objectives before you put your gloves under glass?

For me the vision was always BKFC. I have only worked on my punching through the entire process. Not a singe round of MMA, never on diet, always allowing myself the grace to show up at my worst, with only marginal goals. I.E. (20lb weight cut in 3 hours) All my min in the ring and cage I have just received. I have made the walk alone and underprepared everytime. For me this is the sink or swim moment. As i invisioned the landscape of Bare Knuckle to rise in popularity as MMA declined, my vision to write an epic combat story could only exsist in the landscape that was emerging, not decling.

In Europe they (the orgs I have spoken with) were happy for other stylists as long as the ruleset is adhered to.
You've just given me a reminder!
