I just watched Ari Shaffir's new special on Netflix and really enjoyed it. I always thought he was a decent but not great comic, but his America's Sweetheart special on Netflix is the funniest thing he's ever done. He really stepped up his game.

So now if I had to rank the comedians in Rogan's inner circle, he's right at the top. In fact he might be too good for that circle now.

Here's how I'd have them ranked:

1. Ari Shaffir
2. Joe Rogan
3. Tony Hinchcliff
4. Bryan Callen
5. Joey Diaz
6. Brendan Schaub

I know Rogan is friends with a ton of other comics but I feel like these are the ones in his inner circle.

Of that list, they all stink.

Let's not complicate things.

Off that list Ari and its not even close. Jew was great, looking forward to this one.

Its amazing the rest of them made so much money at it.

As a new yorker Im a huge Joey Diaz Stan but i like his appearances on Rogan more than his standup.

Ari Shaffir is great

I dont really check out their specials though, im just aware of them from bein on his show

Joey Diaz, Bryan Callen, Joe Rogan, Bert Kreischer are all C tier, Brendan is unintentionally A tier. Mark Normand & Shane Gillis also A tier.

Shane Gills has the best stand up material. Mark Normand is very funny at interviews/podcasts but I don't find his stand up that good. He has some good jokes though. But his delivery is a bit too dorky and tires me out. Theo Von is also funny at interviews telling stories stuff like that but I don't care for his stand up

I cant even rank them they are all terrible comedians but to be fair it has been years i ever given them a shot. Some of them are good podcasters like Rogan but not particularly for his humor. Diaz can be funny on podcasts as well as Callen. Tony is good at roasts but his standup was always painful to watch. Schaubs standup has been used by the Military for torture methods with 100 percent success rate so thank him for his service and keeping america safe.

Segura, Gillis and Kreisher need to be on the list. Ari's special is very funny. I don't really think any of them are on the level of Burr or any top tier guys. I find them all more clever and wittier than hysterical. It's amazing to me that with all this technology, as a society we have drifted towards listening to podcasts. This was the type of media people listened to in the 30s and 40s. Really quite interesting.

Overall it's Mark Norman, Shane Gillis and Tim Dillon by quite a bit.

Of that list I'd say Diaz, then Tony, then Ari, then Callen, then Joe, Schaub obviously last.

Middling to bad. Gillis is above average, but nothing all that special.

I have only seen Rogan, Diaz and Schaub out of those.
Rogan was bad, Diaz was bad and cringe and Schaub was horrible.

What's truly sad is that as shitty as half those guys are, they all smoke Rogan in his stand up skills.
